My name is Marvin, they call me Mads.
I'm here in Dubai for more thank 6 years as Graphic Artist.
I do design, video editing and 3D generalist.
Today I decided to share my experience as graphic designer here in Dubai.
From things to prepare, how to apply, salary and budget you need if your planning to go abroad and work as graphic designer.

ito ang Dubai life 2015 din ako nakapasok dito sa Dubai as IT pero na scam ako kala ko IT works talaga magiging parang office boy kaya ingat ingat din tayo isa pang tips para makitang legit ang company tignan nyo if may websites sila check nyo din sa google map if nakaregister office nila may mga reviews dun minsan jan ko nahuhuli na scam or budol lang mga nag hihiring and pag mag hanap kayo online ng work dito sa UAE mas maganda sa LinkedIn

As of 2020 napansin ko mas madami nahihire at job offer via Linkedin so dont forget to create one account din.. :)

dami dito boss, usually mdami hiring sa LinkedIn and mas ok andito na at mas prefer nila un lalo na for interview pero qng competitive portfolio e meron din n hihire from pinas plng
Kabayan, feel ko yung ambiance, nakakamiss ang ganyang surrounding, typical sa Ad Agency yan ganyang office. Free kami humilata pag break time sa sofa. after work, naglalaro kami gamit mga computers namin haha. Anong experience mo sa mga anaps? For sure madalas di ayos, hehe. Pero enjoy mo lang ang work, medyo malaki bigayan.

Why do you use an old model iMac? I think this old model can't handle graphic works.
Wow you also notice hehe, been using this for almost 6 years but now my boss bought me an Mac Studio which is a big thing on my working.. :)

Hi Sir Mads! I want to be a Motion Graphic Designer someday gaya nyo. Anong app ang masasuggest nyo for 3D and Animation po? Ang alam ko pa lang ngayon is photoshop, illustrator and basic after effects. Sa 3d naman eh sketch up (papalag ba yun? hahaha) and 3ds max (nung college pa yun.. haays)
if target mo is animation na 3D + mograph go for cinema4d.. Mga stands kc hawak ko now kaya Autodesk Maya gamit q..
@@MadsChannelTV Question pa po. Sabihing nating sa 1 min (if aabot man dun sir and base sa folio nyo) 3d motion graphic clip, gaano katagal and planning to execution to final product? Like yung mograph nyo dun sa machines sa isang video nyo po. para magka idea lang po sa process ng isang mograph artist. Thank you!

How you are using 3ds max or maya on Mac OS, can you show that

anything po na work abroad is OFW, pero nsa field parin na graphic design :)

Ano po gamit nyo software for motion graphics?
I used mostly adobe stuff like PSD and Ai :)

We used more on Adobe software like Ai and PSD.. on my side I used AE and PR also..

it depend on your skills and experience, but junior usually start at 5k in dubai

@@MadsChannelTV boss most of the advice ng mga ganyan plan is kumuha muna ng part-time while andyan kapa until na masasabi mong sapat na or mas malaki na kita mo sa online freelancing kesa sa trabaho mo dyan, good luck

I feel its a bit expensive here in Dubai to study.. but if you can afford it would be nice, lot of school or short courses available when you search on google...

Junior means with 2yr+ experience from other country but fresh here in dubai usully get 5-7k aed

Dubai is a great place to continue your career as graphic designer, lot of company are using linkedIn platform to look and hire. And in regards of competition, its a huge number of artist applying right now specially now everything is going back to normal.. everyday we received resume at our doorstep applying on us but we suggest to apply via email. Hi Rommel, I used Autodesk Maya and Arnold for rendering.. Also use Element 3D from Videocopilot for After Effects
