I showed this to my wife and asked her to guess what it was for, she went for make up, a fashion brand and then paint. I can't really fault her logic, but none of them are a car! I've never seen anything universally panned like this
They could have done a great advert, calling on their 100 years of heritage, with their best loved cars thundering around a track being over taken as the years go by. Then a next electric car roars past finally just saying ‘We’ve had a great 100 years… And we’ve still got more to go’ then like #100notout or something. No talking just each engine from the various generations roaring
Jaguar are going all electric in their new future models. Just like their battery future, they have no future. R.I.P. to a once great example of British vehicle design and innovation.

As a olded driver and have had jaguars , they did the damage when they announced they going full electric, And I won't be parting with £1000.000.00 for any premium car especially electric. The last jaguar I had a xe r-sport, was a brilliant car except for the dredge ingeniam engine, I now drive a Mazda mx5 nc , something I can work on myself no technology, but that's my choice. The same as people have the choice to buy a jaguar, one of the last great British brands, But as it's owned by Tata now, I don't think they look at the brand it the same as most companies all about the money ?.

Obviously at Jaguar they have never seen how a 5 year old that knows nothing about cars stares at a a Ferrari or Lamborghini fantasizing in sitting in one one day.
Great clear & consice overview. Its dawned on me today just how deep the Jag image goes with all of us. Cannot remember when a advert last created this much negative response. Its truly very bad.
I always wanted one, but I was never brave enough to buy a Jaguar due to the legendary reliability or lack thereof. No offence to anyone who has one, they are gorgeous cars. But I guess I'll never own one now.

Well, despite all of the bad publicity about the ad we can't deny it has sparked an interest that the 2014 ad never did. Jaguar need to make sure that the reveal of their new EV next month makes the headlines for the right reasons as more eyes will now be on that reveal in Miami. Pivotal moment for the marque.
They know the company is done and they are attempting to hurry up its demise. They are not selling cars next year - it's to help it go down faster. perhaps then, the company can be bought 'dirt cheap' and moved to India or China, like MG
JAGUAR used to make manly cars for manly men. The new JAGUAR, sorry, I mean JaGUar seem to be testing the old adage "no publicity is bad publicity" to destruction.
Owners and potential buyers of the brand SHOULD be the decider of how this affects the company. I do not know where Jag are going with this dispute them claiming there is more to come and to watch this space. 🤷🏼♂️

Jaguar was always style, wood and leather, they stopped that and people stopped buying, what a surprise, rolls royce and bentley all still have style, wood and leather, jaguar were a lot cheaper but owners loved them, perhaps that's why people don't buy jaguars anymore, plus they have crap reliability because now they are more than poorly engineered.
While I think it’s a stupid ad, you have to think is there a method to their madness as it’s got everyone talking about Jaguar! It’s all over the news and RUclips and media. So while I find the ad off putting, it has stuck in our collective consciousness and as they say, there’s no such thing a bad publicity
Well done Jaguar, a great publicity stunt to get consumers talking. Its thinking out of the box, making people wonder, ask questions and get them Googling…bad publicity is good publicity. Will it work? Hope so as we need the British brand to move up and grow as it was back in the day. Lets see.
I bought an ex demonstrator XE 2.0d AWD as a retirement gift to myself 7 and half years ago, was so chuffed that I owned a JAG..so who is this advert aimed at? Certainly not the likes of me who I’d think would be their target audience. RIP Jaguar.
Reminds me of the new Flawed Crappi launch. How to alienate your fanbase overnight. At least Ford had the decency to reveal how hideous their podgy, stodgy Capri is.
Although gay and male, what I would like to ask 'Santino' - Jaguars director of marketing is: How many of Jaguars workforce are transgender or how many of 'official' Jaguars mechanics are women??. Jaguar ballsed-up here and let their branding and image consultants lead them down a path in a blindfold. Hoping that they would look 'woke', and if anyone 'disagreed' with the advert was being anti-diverse etc. The individuals who signed this 'Balenciaga' - Gap on Acid campaign off needs to be sectioned. Because the irony of this is, it could take sales and/or the company down with it!, The problem what they now have is - if they did pull it, that would be them saying the company is anti diverse. The 'initial' argument here, is why does the product that built there business not feature 'at all' in the advert....is that not just CRAP marketing, being replaced with 'Woke' and understanding the meaning of it, just because you have been 'badly' advised to do that!.
Marketing dept or agency with no idea who buys their cars and a director of marketing who approved this who is clearly out of touch with reality and probably got passed over for chief executive so doesn't care anyway.
