Eastman makes some great guitars
I bought an E20P in November and still haven’t put it down. It’s awesome
Thanks, Quinton and Paul. Good sounding parlor. Is that really Adirondack? I thought E10 was Sitka and E20 Adirondack top
When I was shopping for a smaller-than-000-sized acoustic, this was on my short list. The one I played was glorious, but having only ever played guitars with a 1 11/16" nut width, the 1 13/16" nut width of the E10P was too big of a step for me at the time. Now that I have come to prefer 1 3/4", I'd love to have another go at the E10P if only I had a local Eastman dealer.
The great thing about these is they sound like regular guitars, and you can play a whole spectrum of styles. So many parlor sizes sound very boxy and woody, lending themselves to things like Delta blues, but not much else
I have the E20p with the rosewood back and sides and it’s great for finger picking. The neck is a baseball bat though 😅
Chug is good, very good❤
This one is a winner! Nice all around.
Lovely
I own a Martin a Taylor and an Eastman. Love them all, but Eastman OM is the one I pick up 95% of the time. Best price to value going in my opinion.
If you click on the link and it says 404 does that mean it's sold?
Quite the features for the price. Noticed the pyramid bridge. I suspect they are benefitting from their partnership with Bourgeois guitars.
Maybe, but they were amazing before that association.
Sounds amazing!!! ❤
I love these Eastman guitars. I have a much cheaper one and the quality is ridiculously good.
Sounds amazing.
Gorgeous!
nice playing! Too bad I already own a parlor :(
that there's a winner!
As an owner of 2 Eastman guitars’ E10SS V and eastman e1ooss-ltd ‘ want to say : stunning look with amazing sound ‘ build quality in their price range. Definitely one of the best brands out there.
Wow. $1,500 for a parlor guitar that sounds, and looks, this good? BTW: Superb job by Quinton! My first guitar was an Eastman (AC508). Then I got stupid and sold it. If I knew then what I know now, I would still have the AC508 and very few, if any, others. And, of course, a much happier wife.
Warranty on Eastman can be an issue. Especially if model is no longer offered. Something to consider. But yes I love my e10ss/v and md-815/v.
Very cool
Q is loving that
Wow!
It sounds like it might have dreadnought implants.
The Jingle Bells finish was a surprise. ???
This vid was recorded back before Christmas and appears it just found its way out of the "can" - it is definitely one of the beefiest little guitars I've played yet! Thanks as always for watching!
Looks like it lasted about four minutes in your online store. Way to go Quinton!
Admittedly, it was annoying to watch the one on the right interrupting the interesting musician on the left 😢
I love my E10P. I enlarged the sound hole to 3 7/8 and WOW!
Did it raise the resonant frequency or lower it? Or did it just sound more “open”?
I'm not able to measure resonant frequency, but it does sound more "open" with more bass & more "mellow". I have found that the Monel 'retro' strings sound great on it and last much longer than PB.@@kristopherk5454
Did you have to remove some of the fretboard?
It lowered the resonant frequency. I just compared it to the stock E10 & E20 at my local music store. It now has the deeper tone of the rosewood E20.@@kristopherk5454
not at all.@@kerbyfab
Smaller than a 0-18 was thinking of getting one of these, but bought the Martin 0-18 I then sold the Alvarez AP 70 the Eastman reminds me of the AP70.
Is it smaller though? The body of this guitar is longer.
I love the 0-18 by the way. I fell in love with a 0-18 from 1967. From that moment on I knew I needed one myself. Then I found a 2nd hand 0-18 that was only three years old. It didn’t even come close to the old one.
I bought my first steelstring acoustic 12 years ago. I didn’t know much about acoustic guitars. I liked the looks of a J-45, so that’s what I bought. And it had a beautiful warm sound, but it didn’t have the big sound I expected. But now after having played it for 12 years, that guitar turned into a monster! What a sound. I guess age really makes a difference.
This Eastman sounds amazing already. I can only imagine how good it will sound 10 years from now. 😊
I'd trade my martin 0-18 for that thing
I’m holding an Eastman 00-all mahogany 12fretter in my hands and it’s a gem after playing few years. I use it as a five string in open G.
This little guitar sounds big.
Make a behind the courts in test against bigger bodies.
As we’re all listening to a recorded reproduction size might less than we think.
The instrument vibrating the air in the room is a whole different story though.
Eastman e10p-tc vs Martin 0-18?
Always remember, always consider why the price is what it is.
Chinese labor.
@@johndagricolaand lots of handcraft so less energy costs too. They can pickup things quick and can work very efficient.
I have two Eastman guitars and they both are on a level with Gibson custom shop guitars here.
Consider long enough and you will just be watching the prices go up with inflation.
Ask yousrlf the same question when you are considering a Chinese made gibson or epiphone,or a mexican made martin ,or taylor.
This is the way all guitar overview videos should be. The format, sound quality and a couple players talking “off the cuff”. Rounding out with a short recording with no talking 👌.
their specs never correspond reality
nice 12 fret
The last thing I want or need is another Chinese guitar.
It does sound good, but that's a lot of money for a Chinese guitar.
Quit being a damn snob haha 🤣
stupid
Eh who cares, Eastman guitars are hand built by luthiers. Who cares where the luthiers are from
@@briguy345China is actively committing ethnic cleansing and a whole other hosts of issues. There might have been good luthiers in Nazi Germany but that doesn’t mean you should have bought their guitars.
@@briguy345Germany probably had some good luthiers during WWII, doesn’t mean you should have paid them. Don’t give ethnic cleansers tax revenue.
Paul you should grow a beard. Id also change your hairstyle up a bit.. you'd be hotter than Q for sure! Q is lookin old. He's got Ozempic face. Paul you are def the hot one now!
And the weirdest comment award goes to…

Q is feeling old too - "Ozempic face" 😅
