You guys do all realise the original Diagonal Alley set is at The Warner Brother Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter in London? It looks the same as its the same sound stage due to all the live sound that was recorded for both films.
When I saw the film in theaters, I actually assumed that the butterfly was digitally added in. This just makes me even more impressed with the detail that went into the filming process. :)
Les Miserables, the movie, I can take or leave. I don't love it, or hate it. Its OK. But, Sam's performances are always perfection and she shines through, the whole movie.
It's to make the movie more realistic in the time period if you get me? At the time period Les Mis is based having a tiny waist is desirable and Eponine is supposed to be the sad perfect girl who Marius doesn't realise is perfect. Basically it's just to make it look more realistic
Eponine was most likely to have quite a slim waist aswell due to lack of food and probably other things, it's very much part of Eponine's look because Carrie Fletcher has a very slim waist aswell and she played Eponine and had a very tight belt too
They released a ton of butterflies in that enclosed space?! I would freak the fuck out man. And also, I thought that butterfly on the gate in the movie was CG, haha
