That young couple was crazy for not buying the second house. It was minutes away from their jobs, and most of the big and expensive work had been done. First-time buyers really underestimate how much money and effort renovations take.
I’m assuming they want to put their stamp in a place and add value to it. The second house is great but it’s already done and value can’t be added. And it’s on a busy street.
@@velvetindigonight Again there are compromises, busy road and not a lot of room to add value. And that road will be a problem especially for families with kids and pets.
That kitchen is a deal breaker simply because making it wider would be an expensive proposition, and as is it would be exhausting to cook a big meal in.
@michaeltutty1540 exactly. Personally, it will make more sense to buy the 1st house. It was on a busy road, yes but with little money, the house can be made cat and child-friendly. That house was nice, turnkey at very cheap. It will make a good starter home.
After watching the episode I see this was 2017? I wish you guys put the year into each episode like in ETTC. I can’t believe anyone can get anything for under 350 these days…going back 7-8 years I can see these prices.
They’ve been plenty house hunts under 350k in the past five or six years…I don’t know what you’re talking about lol. One was even in London. The far outskirts of London but London nevertheless.
For the couple with the baby, I loved that 1st house. I don't mind it being on a busy road. It had a beautiful layout and was affordable. It will make a good starter home and it was turnkey. For the second couple, I think the 2nd house was a better option. Move in, live there for a while so close to work then upgrade to a bigger house in the future.
The farmhouse was beautiful and with so much space inside & out and they dismissed it bc the large, nicely updated kitchen was galley style, the ONLY con. Then they seriously consider an UGLY 70's house 🤦♀️
The kitchen would be exhausting if making a big meal. The big trouble is that the kitchen space is not wide enough to make it a proper galley with units on both sides. Another couple feet wider and it could be perfect. The rest of the house is nice.
I would have been more concerned about the farm activity behind the house: I could not live in a place where, for instance, livestock is regularly loaded into transport to the abattoir. With hindsight they were right to wait and had great luck in putting in the winning bid for the repossession.
I could not agree more, Joannah. The house they would have bought if the spreadsheet had been otherwise was one ugly stepsister. The plot of land didn't seem that large either. I don't understand at all what it was about it that appealed to them.
I've always been a flat person but the maintenance fees are now becoming impossible. My niggle is their garden obsession. The weather is dull for most of the year but "Oh we must have a big garden".
@@bar10ml44 completely agree with this! I don’t get the obsession with gardens either, it makes the property so much more expensive and they can only enjoy it for like 3 months a year. Crazy.
Often people bring their pets into the conversation when they're not comfortable in saying that they don't like a house, but "the yard is too small for Henry", is the indicator that the answer is a firm 'no'. Yes, that was a run-on sentence. I excel at them.
🎉...Kirstie and Phil make this show a HIT!

I'm so happy when I see that you've uploaded a "new" episode. I love this show, and Kirstie and Phil are the best! Thanks so much.

That was my choice, too.

Crazy that
And all to save £10,000 grand!

I am so happy to see Kirstie and Phil again!!!!! I haven't seen their show for many years. They are both so funny!!!!!
I love Tom and Liz! What a great couple
Its too bad the lady did not like that kitchen. That farmhouse was a winner!!
I agree! The kitchen could be pushed out in time too if they wanted it bigger. I loved the location of the farmhouse too.
That kitchen is a deal breaker simply because making it wider would be an expensive proposition, and as is it would be exhausting to cook a big meal in.
The kitchen was fine. She has no imagination. Too bad.

I personally prefer the first house's kitchen.

You two make me laugh, something we need these days😊

Hilarious duo! Phil: "Very pretty ankles." Kirstie: "Have you been drinking?"
Hahaha. "The cat by the whiskers" -- Kirsty is funny ,so is Phil. Did I hear correctly at the end.. Phil showed the couple another 36 houses?

I'm sure a skilled person could come up with a renovation plan to change the space into something appealing & efficient.

2012 but still great!

I really don't get the obsession of British people with houses. Flats are amazing!

My gallery kitchen is only half the size of this kitchen,i manage alright ,i think you adapt to these situations
Galley kitchens are excellent. The brainwashing about open plan has been successful

I about sat down when I heard that a bank offer there went though in 2.5 weeks!! Here…is months or years.
The female presenter is beautiful
Where r the videos, my and I have been waiting for more. We live in Canada so we have no other way to watch😢
Sorrel? Saffron? Does she have siblings named Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme? Maybe sisters named Daisy, Violet, Rose and Hyacinth?
The couple’s little daughter is so beautiful.
Who the heck buys a house based on their cats? Cats shouldn’t be out roaming around the streets anyway. You wouldn’t allow a dog to roam the streets.
My cat influences where I live
I agree about the cats. They should all be indoor. However, that road was really busy. I think the road noise would drive me nuts after a while.
@@marioncannon9924 British cats are generally free to roam at will.
Why does Phil always wear a blue suit?
European men prefer navy blue suits..... they have been in fashion for the last 30 years or so. Who would wear a black or brown suit anyway?
The only sad part is seeing the chem-trailing and the effects of chemtrailing in nearly every shot.
meds
Why worry about cats more than a toddler on a busy road 😮, SMH?
yes, and cats shouldn't be roaming either
Phil's couple are pretty spoiled it seems 🙄
two commercials every 5 minutes. Really......
No commercials when I watch. I pay the monthly youtube fee to avoid commercials. Well worth the cost.

Quins dos felius...😂!
some of these homes are so outdated.
Well, some of them are fixer uppers so no duh they’re outdated lol. A house can’t be updated and a fixer upper at the same time! 😂
oh, let's skip to Gen Z
There was actually a gen z couple in the latest season lol
Cats should be INSIDE.
I feel like her eyes have pierced deep into my soul.....she's odd
