- Talking about what I did modify and what I didn’t change on my slammed Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport back at our old stomping grounds. This is the last video in the series with the red Cross Sport before a big update in the New Year.
This car has driven over 10,000 miles in the last five weeks, going over mountains, through deep snow, on a racetrack, and so many highway and city miles.
I also answer some of the most common questions that I get about the car, via some of my Instagram followers. Thank you to everyone who submitted questions!

I think the atlas is near perfect for driving. No surging from the turbo. Really smooth power delivery. Plus it knows when to shift without much driver input. I honestly love it way more than I did my 22 Taos.

Nice video and thanks for sharing. BTW, the proper word to use regarding suspension systems, e.g. shocks, struts, etc is damp or damping, not dampening. To dampen is to make moist. And we certainly don't wanna' see you goin' there. :)

i hope VW builds on this platform and makes the VR6 more "sporty" - like a DSG trans. there's still a little bit more to be desired. but i think it's a great overall daily driver.

Yes, many times (but only the vegan version). I keep the VW curry ketchup in my cabinet too..! Have you tried that? :-)
What do you think of H&R lowering springs for us broke boiz that want to slam our car? And what spring rate should I get for my MK6 2.5?
H&R are a great company! We love them. When slamming your car, make sure your struts can handle it ! Good luck ❤️

Question: When lowering the Atlas does it mess up the lane assist or the radar assisted cruise control? With all the sensors not in their OEM positions just wondering if it gives a number of false warnings.
I lowered my crosssport. Not at low as this. But yeah it will shortn up the distance they work and will throw a warning when pulling out of some drive ways
Yes anytime you throw that system off , you have to get it re calibrated

Just curious, with the exhaust like that, with the wookie pipe and the rear suitcase delete, does it get loud and drowny inside the Atlas?
What damper settings do you have your coilovers adjusted to.....more stiff or soft?
Ive got an explorer on coilovers but i trying to figure out the best settings because the 405 is filled with dips lol....and it drops like your in an airplane.
Not sure if you'll see this but were any functions affected/limited due to the modifications?

Either engine and further suspension mods to the Atlas or suspension, wheels etc on the Taos, is my guess.

What window shades are those in the rear windows?
They are the factory shades built into the rear doors. There are also magnetic versions available from VW Accessories, but I don't have a set in a ACS yet - only in my Mk7 Jetta.

36k € man im so upset........ VW here in Belgium is insanely expensive compared to the US. New Golf mk8 R is 50k € base price....
The US does get some great prices but we don’t get some of the cooler models here so it’s a double edge sword I guess haha

Why would they start making Coilover for this model and won’t go as low as yours so wats the point of sponsorship ?
The setups are being developed and reviewed, so hopefully they will come out soon - I would guess in the order of :
1st - normal lowering
2nd - a bit of lifting
3rd - slammed
KW are super cool car people and helped me achieve the look I wanted and to have some fun, which is why they did it honestly. Brand recognition too I’m sure. :-)
