In 2004 my husband was dx. After 3 years of failed medical treatment he chose to go "Alternative" we celebrate 4 years in remission on May 16th 2013! For those who have been told there is no hope - do not believe it. Our bodies naturally heal, our cells will regenerate and repair when given the proper nutrients. Life has taught us this lesson. To all with Sarcoidosis, have HOPE!

I was diagnosed back in 2004 and I was on steroids in 2007 for 6 months and now it's 2019 and I am in chronic pain and shortness of breath and looking for a good pulmonary doctor this is ridiculous that most of these doctors have no knowledge of this disease

here's a few tips for ways to treat sarcoidosis
Consider adjusting your Diet - In some cases sarcoidosis has been associated with celiac disease, such as a reaction to certain protein chains commonly referred to as glutens found in cereal grains such as wheat.
You could also take different Natural supplements, herbs, and vitamins
Also the use of anti-oxidants and natural anti-inflammatory supplements could be of benefit.
(I discovered these and the reasons they work from Remission Crusher Tactic website )

I'm sorry for your pain. I've had sarcoidosis since 1998. I can't work anymore. My spine looks like a 2x4 piece of wood after thousands of termites were at it.
Have you tried CBD oil? Do you live in a state where medical marijuana is ok?
The depression is really bad. I hope you have someone to fight this with you.
If not, my email address is:

I have Sarcoidosis but, Sarcoidosis doesn't have me! This person really should educate himself a bit more. I would rate his knowledge on a scale of 1-10 a 5. Research is the key and living with it or knowing of someone who actually has it. There's alot of contradiction here if you read and listen carefully.

I feel my Sarcoidosis came on over 25 years ago. I went on holiday to a hotel we had not chosen. It was only 3 *. I never go into the swimming pool but decided to go in. With in 2 Weeks of coming back my legs were very heavy. I could not feel the pins that he tried out on my legs. The neurologist didn’t really know at that time what it was. He put it down to Transverse Miletus. I still have it at the bottom of my spine. That seemed to be the start of my problems. The neurologist said unfortunately they don’t always clean out the swimming pools to a high standard. People wee or even poo in the water etc therefore all sorts of health problems can start. I would love to be on any study if you think I could help. Thank you for explaining Sarcoidosis to us. Marilyn Greaves

Have systemic sarcoid for at least 25 yrs - in lungs ( upper lobe fibrosis, COPD, bronciectasis, mucus obstructs breathing when sleeping causing claustrophic dreams with a suffocating awakening ) small cell neuropathy in toes and foot, innumerable spleen and liver x ray hypodensities, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue , difficulty concentrating , cataracts in both eyes with inflammation , dizziness , unsteady gait ... I think Dr Morgenthau's presentation on sarcoidosis was as good as any I've read. Here's a few tips : salt water spray relieves nasal /sinus congestion , exercise , stay physically fit , diaphragm and intercostal muscles will require less oxygen. I am 76 yrs old and walk for miles before dawn on the beach every day looking for paper nautilus shells or other treasures while catching crabs and fish . Clean salty air and the beautiful views are very therapeutic. Not a wealthy man . Live alone and have a comp case with Veterans Affairs for toxic exposure. RealestRealist I am ok. I have it in my lungs and supposedly my liver. Breathing is a problem when it’s hot and humid. So I live in air conditioning. Whenever I get a bronchitis they put me on prednisone. This will stop this year, I hope to transfer with methotrexate. It’s a better med for Sarcoidosis.

@RealestRealist After over 22 years of chemo, I have been trying the last 5 years to restore my immune system and doing things naturally. I finally am hopeful that mega doses of Vitamin C is helping to rid the overgrowth of microbes. I have a very complex and long story but God is good!

2:03 "It's not an auto-immune disease, your immune system is actually hyperactive in sarcoidosis"
--- he says this as if it were a contradiction when in fact it is not... Auto-immune diseases are often as detrimental as they are _because_ the immune system is hyperactive, targeting structures it should tolerate.

He said that skin sarcoidosis correlates with long term symptoms, but what I’ve read is that there is a Löfgren syndrome that is acute sarcoidosis that includes skin symptoms... it’s frustrating how much conflicting information is out there

I did not here you say that you do an occupational history. I am a nuclear worker advocate and I review many historical medical records of Workers exposed to Beryllium. I have seen physicians "diagnose Sarcoidosis with Beryllium exposure" without reviewing for evidence of granulomas in other organs.

Those who says he doesn't know what he's talking about aren't listening carefully. He wants to kill some myths and common errors around sarcoidosis and does so very well. He's an MD and director of a Sarcoidosis clinic, and confirms everything other doctors has told me about this disease.

We tried EVERYTHING that came his way. I can't leave a link here but I have it all online for people with Sarcoidosis to read about. Click on my name and it will take you to my youtube page where you will see some info as well. He and many others with Sarcoidosis have made dietary changes and added specific supplements with great benefit.

Prednisone has done more of the damage that I have been dealing with but God created our bodies to self heal with autophagy. I have been intermittent fasting for the last 4 years trying to restore the intestinal damage caused by medications also focusing on nutrition that medications rob the body of.

I have had neuroarcoidosis too for over 26 years and since losing my job, becoming disabled and avoiding the medical system been on a mission to heal myself. I have done much better with alternate approach focusing on sleep, nutrition, and detoxification. I developed seizures after several months of very high dose steroids years ago. Do your own research on the human body and seek functional medicine healers. There are many @Healthmeans to learn from.

@@cpht2000 do u remember your first symptoms. I discovered tiny lumps under my skin about 7-8 years ago but they never bothered me. They seem to be throughout my entire body. Just last year I suddenly began presenting with severe joint pains which spread internally then docs said I have an overactive immune system. Something triggered this to start up. 3-4 months down the line I suddenly started losing weight but never had a loss of appetite. Then began having neck pain then pain and muscle weakness down my arms. 7-8 months in lost 32lbs of muscle. Almost skin n bones and still going down along with getting weaker. CT of the abdomen and chest revealed no abnormalities, Ultrasound of abdomen revealed no abnormalities in liver, gallbladder or pancreas. Colonoscopy and endoscopy revealed no abnormal findings except slight gastritis and bile reflux. But I’ve been telling docs for years something is not right in my spine bcuz I have a lot of burning that radiates in a particular spot. The said MRI doesn’t show any encroachment on spinal cord or any impingement on nerve roots. Something seems to be messing with my nervous system and it must be the tiny nodules in my skin/muscles but docs are ignoring it. 😔

@@tjgrafiks Major headache with brain lesions. Research dysautonomia and amyloidosis which can correlate with neurosarcoidosis. Also are your calcium (Dhydroxy1.25) levels, high? I suggest seeing an endocrinologist, if you don't have one. I've had 9 different specialist's as my condition progressed.
