I have 984 drops to terminate by the end of the year for our upcoming renovation. I have been searching for something like this for a long time. looks clean and simple just as it should. cant wait to try one of these out.
Wow, that’s a lot a lot of punching! Good luck. Hope the untwist tool helps you out. My favorite part of the tool is the straightening effect on the wires. 😀
@@NetworkAdvisor The versatility of this is what looks so great. I am so excited to get any help with this massive hands on work that I just bought one from the anticipation. Ill make sure to put it to the test and let you know how it holds up.
This tool solves a problem that does not exist... Use a pencil, wedge it between the 2x strands and pull away... Does a better job, faster and without a "special" tool.
It seems to take some time to unwind the wires this way. But I like the straightening effect. But that can be done with my cutter tool as well of course :)
Never do what he just did with the snips. It is too easy to nick the wire and cause a future trouble if you don’t cause it at the moment. IF you got to use the snips you should then use the pull string and split the sheathing past the point where he cut it with the snips to make sure that you eliminate any wire that may have a nick.
that's a perfect point. I'm sure if I didn't use the rip cord in this video, it was in the interest of speed. But moreover, anyone that close to the field considering this tool would HOPEFULLY understand the concept of doing what you jus described. Thanks for reminding us. :-)
No get some RJ45 wire connector pass through's and the tool for crimping. Much easier to manage. The straightener does make sense but that would be for someone doings this full time on a job. Listen being a "Network" "Advisor" more attention to detail is needed as although Cat5E and Cat6 are similar; but they are not the same and should not be treated as such. If you are going to talk about both versions, they both should be shown in entirety. They are simply different but people come to your channel for specifics. Not knocking you just try to add to your channel moving forward.

@@l.n.2774 Install a patchpanel with inline couplers, then you won't have to do any IDC terminations.

thanks for watching. :-)
I wish someone would make a crimper/cutter/untwister/straightener combo...
Ahahha. 😄😄. Right?

Yes, I thought the straightener part was really nice. 😊

Can you do a video on « Cate-6 » crimping with the « loader »?
I use pass through, even easier and no mistakes.
And now the price has jumped to 29.99USD. Just use a small screwdriver and save 30 bucks...
... als gratiszugabe bei einer crimpzange ok ... aber nicht extra kaufen ...
Jojo. Danke, dass du meine Videos gesehen hast.☺️

.........One word....lazy
Aww, don't be a hater. If you did these all day, your fingers get pretty sore de-twisting those pairs. 😄
Dude its not even about the laziness, how effective can you be doing this🤔 You still have straighten the wires🤦🏿♂️
