Oh Dear............there is such a lot to learn when my drone arrives it will be a shock to the system for the first day or two........I'm going to watch this video a dozen times and make notes too.
I was supposed to get this drone, but decided to save a couple of bucks more and just bought a DJI mini 3 pro instead. sjrc f22s 4k is a good drone, but comparing to dji like the mini 2 or mini 3, or even the OG mavic mini 1, it's a night and day difference. still wanting to buy the f22s just for pure flying fun.
Pretty good performance so far, although implementation of that 'spiral flight' could be better (indeed like the POI circle flight). Camera and gimbal (+EIS) seem to be doing a good job. Did I miss them, or are there no camera settings???
This Video Suddenly appear front my eyes, very interesting it... directly i subscribe.... because this first time i see with crazy wind but f22s is very stabil.
Please sir, help chosose a better drone. In your opinion which one is better between F11S, F22S, S155 and M10? Or what would you suggest me for a budget of $250?
Is there some way, say with using temporary, non destructive wedges perhaps, to lock the landing gear in place? As soon as I get mine which is on order, I'm going to check this out.
Please explain how to stop the motors, when the drone has landed. Using the 5&7 o clock position on the joysticks does not work for me anyway. Using the emergency stop button makes the drone angry. What's going on. Remedy please to this please.
Thank you for answer. You do good testing applications to test parameters of the product which for us ,we cannot afford to do as replacement of electronic components becomes costly if we do not know the details.
The user manual is wrong, hold the left stick towards you (move down) for a few seconds. If you do 5 & 7 o clock like the manual says it will jump up again and crash.
Very detailed review, I’ve become a fan of yours. I have been trying to choose one between sg906 max 3 and this one, I was more inclined to this one but it sucks when it stops recording and app crash. Which one would you choose?
@@RCEscapeYes, I even considered splurging and treating myself to a DJI Mini 2 SE, but I later discovered that it lacks obstacle avoidance. Do you reckon this should be a deal breaker for my drone choice?
I was hoping you were gonna get this drone and review it. I'm soooooo glad. I hope you will do a max distance video as well. I have the SJRC F11s and I love it, but i have my eye set on this one. I hope you will do the distance test. Thanks.
Great review!👍👍👍 This is a nice camera drone that has a very good optical avoidance ability including useful features.🧭🌿And it's very stable against strong wind.💪🙂
Thanks bro!! After flying it for a while, it seems to be working really good. I put a piece of tape to cover the avoidance module sensors and I was able to fly close to the ground. The special fly features sort of suck though.
You are one of the best drone reviewers because you really test flight characteristics and features. You deserve more views. However....................can you please check the type of follow-me next time? There are basically two types: string, and compass. 1. When it is compass type the drone will fly sideways. This is very important if you want a drone that you want to keep in view!!! Some drones also yaw to compensate, some do not. 2. If it is string-type it will slide away and eventually only follow-me from behind. This F22 should have compass type as my F11. I wasn't able to see the way you shortly tested the feature. It does appears as if this F22 is not quite as accurate and responsive as the F11 4k. That may be due to your phone. Also very important if you are looking for a follow-me drone is a homepoint-update/return-to-controller(phone option. The SJF-Pro app used for the F11 and F22 does not have that option unfortunately. This means it can sudden;y without warning start a RTH and you have to race back in panic! I've had that couple times. Not a single reviewers checks what it will do at for example lost connection or low batter or reached geo-fence. Note that my cheap funny L109 Pro does everything exactly right. I wish it had a better camera and gimbal! Or that another budget drone is programmed in the same manner. Much, if not all, is done the app. So again please try to find out what type follow-me a drone has and please mention if there is a homepoint-update option in the app. (It goes a bit too far to expect you testing max distance on a bike or pedal till the battery runs out). Thank you!
If the initial testing of the follow me was half way decent for use as a follow me drone I would test it further but I haven't come across a drone that is worthy enough for more testing. Maybe one day we will have a good enough of a follow me drone with obstacle avoidance to perhaps make a longer segment or a dedicated video.
@@RCEscape The F11 is actually a pretty good follow-me drone. I think the F22 will do so much the same. And I mean follow-me. Not active-track. If it is 'compass type' follow-me where you can have it fly in front of you you don't need obstacle avoidance. I know it's not your thing. But it is mine. GPS follow-me when done right beats active-track every time. Especially riding a bike. My L109 Pro for which I paid €130 does an excellent job. I can use the sticks anytime I want to change distance height etc. It even auto-updates homepoint. But unfortunately most cheap drones have apps with the wrong 'string type' follow-me. They will only follow from behind. For optical active-track you need a good camera, huge amounts of programming, a fast processor, and since it flies behind you also obstacle avoidance in many situations. So yes you will only find it on expensive drones. Even then it often is useless. I've heard quite a few people complain. Those who bought Litchi or Maven all switched to follow-me. And it's not that I am against active-track! It can do things follow-me can't. But superior or safer it is not.
Did you ever figure out why the point of interest function wouldn't work? Did you upgrade the app or firmware since the first time it worked? I have one and can't get the point of interest to work either. Currently on app ver 3.3.3
@@RCEscape Thanks. I'm experimenting with older apps to see if they just "broke" it on an update. Found something interesting last night. Since this is essentially the same drone as the Holy Stone HS600 I installed the HS Fly app and it successfully connected to my F22S and all the telemetry appears to work fine. I'll try to fly it later but one nice thing about the HS Fly app is the camera has a few settings you can change, contrast, saturation, and sharp. One thing the HS Fly App lacks is the speed although you can still see it on the transmitter screen. I also successfully connected the F22S with the Bwine Drone app although that one doesn't appear to have any exciting new features to offer. Looks to me many of these similar drones will connect to the various "private label" manufacturers apps. If I come up with anything interesting I'll share it with you. Appreciate all your videos and reviews, very thorough!
@@RCEscape FYI, on the F22S transmitter it does enter the circle mode if you press the photo and video buttons at the same time, just like the older model. It isn't in the manual but I just tried it a few times and it turns it on/off when pressed. Unfortunately, I can only get the circle/point of interest mode to work once or twice per flight and then it stops working. Very random. As for the 3rd party apps, I did fly it some with the HS Fly app. I was able to adjust the camera a little but it only effects the images saved to the phone which are lower resolution so not a very useful feature. Circle mode wouldn't work with the HS Fly app either. Obstacle avoidance still works on the drone but the app doesn't notify you or let you turn it on/off. So while it can work with the HS Fly app, it's not very useful. Still investigating if only to satisfy my curiosity...
@@shanesdiy Ha! So it does work. I didn't even try it. You know this is the same as the HS600 by Holystone that came out a couple of years ago? Identical.
