Spent a lot of time @ Historic meets. To get an LJ up with the leading V8s & beating plenty of them takes a lot of guts & the little 202 Holden has to strain to within a whisker of self destruction from the minute the flag drops. Anyone with a ton of money can pick up a brand new Nascar styled crate motor out of the States & plonk it in a brand new replica US supercar & go racing. The people racing 6 cylinder Holdens in these categories have to work very hard to compete. Their little Holden sixes are the genuine article & have to scream their guts out. This is why we see occasional blow ups.
