I've had the 2014 sDrive 35i since new and it hasn't given me any problems at all. Best car I've ever had. But we always take good care of our cars and keep up with oil changes/maintenance. I just bought a 2021 X5 M50i. I hope it's as reliable as my 2014. Just sold the 2014 w/57000 miles on it
@@kevslinger: True. Although, BMW in America aren't imported for the poor to purchase. They're for the 10%. Hence, if you're concerned about the price tag, you're out of your league. Besides, most BMW collectors & enthusiasts prefer V8's, and can afford them.
Juan Love actually BMW is historically known for their inline 6 engines and they are farrr more popular than the V8’s. This inline 6 can also be tuned for a big bump in power although for most people a big suv like this that does 6.2 seconds 0-60 is already overkill.
Juan Love bmw is known for their inline 6 engines. I text drove a 35i and a 50i, and the difference just wasn’t enough to justify an extra 10 grand. The 35i sounds absolutely brilliant, loud with a great exhaust note, and it’s plenty fast to merge and have fun. 0-60 in 5.8 is what the 35i does, and it’s not exactly slow.
Gil Gonzalez car and driver has the 16’ 35i tested at 5.8 0-60. Mines the 35i and I absolutely love it. Will likely be trading it in for a 2020 or 2021 X5 40i in the near future.
BMW makes the ugliest SUVs anywhere. Take off the grille and roundel logo, and all of them would be completely unattractive compared to even the most mainstream SUVs. I'd easily take the RR Sport.
vassillioss Yes, and? What's your point. Audi SUVs have cleaner designs. Yes, they're not over the top like the Lexus NX, but they're tastefully handsome.
I love MotorWeek, you guys are true professionals. Well written and professionally delivered auto reviews! Great video
It's nice to look at
May I ask if this model included Dynamic Suspension or Dynamic Handling Package, especially in that slalom test?
i think so
"b-m-double-ya"
There should be a BMW based RUclips series called that. HEH HEH HEH!!!
beh-em-veh as the Germans say it
Isn't it time to review a later model X5 Motorweek?
This guy raised me into a man.
This has a 0-60 in 6.2 seconds due to it being a 35i but i have a 50i that gets to 60 in 4.3 seconds
I have one, too. Effortless acceleration. Just did a 0-260 kph full acceleration video. Check it out if you want
It’s bad that you are saying Range Rover is a better pick, it will fall apart after warranty ends
I do see some dodge Durango in the design especially from the side
Power of Pine Sol Durango copies this
@@freddyespinoza5042 bruh, the Durango came 3 years before this
XDrive 50i starts at 72 not 69
This car driver very well, but is loaded with problems. Dumped it after 1 year, impossible to keep it out of the shop. Total waste of money :(
Dmitryv Vinnik you never owned one, go back to your pos jeep
You probably had the V8 then
