Great video, we are scheduling our trip to Austin for early next year - probably plan a least a day in San Antonio and have “Rita’s on the River”. Sometimes I wonder if you see just how far you can annoy Michelle Haha.. love it.
Awesome, you’ll love it and be sure to have a rita for us too! We tease and laugh a lot. I like to joke around which she’s used to it. 😊 Believe me, it goes both ways but I think she holds it in for “show” for the camera. 😂 Wish we could catch and share all the laughs we have with each other, but it always seems to happen when the is camera off. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊🤓
"..a dark ride" ?? Do you just mean to take the river ride at night? We did see one that had a full length table down the center with wine or champagne.
Alamo and San Antonio Riverwalk are definitely in our bucket list too when we retire and travel the Country. I can't wait !!! Thanks for sharing your journey.
We highly recommend both places! We had been wanting to see the Riverwalk for awhile and didn’t even realize The Alamo was that close to it. Very convenient to go to both all in one day. 🧡😁🤓
Another enjoyable video! It's been almost 15 yrs since I have been to San Antonio and Alamo, so it was great to see the new improvements to the Alamo site. Squirrel from the palm tree was a great shot! Thanks for sharing, safe travels y'all!
We also thought the Alamo was totally worth the stop! We were there for 1-2 hours! Caught a really cool enactment of musket firing. Glad you enjoyed the stop, too. What an awesome slow-mo shot of the squirrel jumping from the palm tree trunk! Really surprised me.We loved the River Walk...just disappointed that all the lights on the trees did not get turned on at dark. We were waiting for the spectacular lights. Guess that only happens in December, which apparently you missed as well.
The Alamo was better than what we were told. We really enjoyed it. Glad you liked the “6 Million Dollar Squirrel”. 😜🤣 Yes! We were disappointed when we realized the lights weren’t going to turn on when we were there also. Thanks for watching! 🧡😊🤓
Stayed on the Riverwalk for our honeymoon in '82, then was there as recent as '17 for a convention. I sure like it the way it was before they started commercializing it so much. But it's always a pleasant place to visit when your room has a balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. I'm still not sure I understand why you drove from Whitney to San Antonio for the day?!? Were you just not planning on going that far south in the RV? Glad you guys had a good day! And thanks for all this content I get to catch up on! :)
It is a fun area. We only wanted to go to San Antonio for the weekend, if you watched to the end you would notice we stayed in a hotel. Our car got very good mileage and it seemed silly to unhook everything from the RV and hook back up, find another RV resort, setup again for a day, then do the same the next day. The car lets us explore other areas without doing all of that. Also keep in mind that the weekends are our only time to explore since we still work during the week. We also had other plans closer to DFW for the next weekend and stayed at Lake Whitney a bit longer to utilize the free camping there with our Thousand Trails membership. 👍🏻😊🤓
Went to San Antonio a couple of years ago (for a short 24 hour stay), only got to see The Alamo and some of the River Walk. Enjoyed it so much, but wish I'd had more time there to explore the city... Next time! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Safe travels you two! 208 days until we hit the road full time in our RV (counting down)! Hope to make it til then - heart surgery next Thursday. :-(
We wish we had another full day to spend there also. So much to see and do around there! We will definitely keep you in our thoughts and prayers for a good outcome with your surgery next Thursday. Please let us know how you’re doing. 🧡🧡
New to ur page my husband an I think you to are crazy cool we appreciate that u give prices on things an are great videos you are making no floor shots or trees lol
My town! I just recently found and subscribed to your channel, and looking at previous episodes, I was pleased to find this one! I assume you were here in November when this was published -- if so, welcome to Texas where you get all sweaty in November! We don't get down to the Alamo or Riverwalk much, unless we're taking some out of town friends (last time was 2007 taking our then-7th grade son for a Texas History project). Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to catching up on all the past episodes!
Well thanks for the sub Ethan and we’re glad you found us!! 🧡 I think we were there around October and released the video a few weeks later. We really liked it there. We’re so glad you’re enjoying the videos! You get to see where we’ve been in the last year and a half!! 😁🤓
We were in San Antonio last October and found a gem that you guys should try on your next trip there: Schilo's Delicatessen : schilos.com/ YUM! Homemade Root Beer!
So sorry that I just viewed this video. I would have loved to have told Michelle about the excellent Mango ice cream at the Menger Hotel, actors the street from the Alamo. The bar there is reported to be the location that Teddy Roosevelt recruited the “Roughriders” for his charge up San Juan Hill. Keep doing what you are doing. It is excellent. Tom
💕
Wifey was straight lit off that margarita l o l... Great stuff...
Going to san antonio in the morning..... One question.... Is pearl street and the riverbank basically the same thing?
San Antonio is definitely on my bucket list someday.
It is worth the trip! We wish we could have spent at least another day there to see some old missions around there. Lots to do there! 🧡😁🤓
If y’all ever in San Antonio again go to Mi Terra and also Yard House!
Will do, thanks for the suggestions! 😊🤓
Nice job capturing the vibe of San Antonio.
Thank you very much! 😊🤓

River walk was a great place to visit. There is a dark ride I want to go on next time we are in the area.👍
It’s a beautiful place in the evening as well. We’ll have to consider that ride the next time we’re there. 👍🏻
