This made my day. What a funny run and surprisingly those horns do some serious damage. My favorite was when you said you were going to go fight Gideon Ofnir and the Twitch comment said "The All-Knowing vs The All Blowing".

He's right. You spend eerily calm ten to twenty minute horse rides out to kill majestic giants and then at the end you find out a twist that I won't post in the comments, but it's fairly predictable by modern game standards. Back then though? Crap caught you off guard.
Funnily one of the first games I thought of when I booted up this game and entered Limegrave was Shadow of the Colossus. The feeling was very similar, at least initially.
I love these edited meme runs so much. I've watched the lightning ram and the butt slam videos multiple times now. Definetly looking forward to doing the same for this one.
I saw some of his other runs like this on twitch but I don’t have time for the full play through so I hope we get more vids like these for those runs or even more runs they are dummy fun to watch

I've been memeing about a bubble only run since the network test. I've actually been working on my own bubble only run for a while. I guess it makes sense I wasn't faster than a speed runner.

Red Wolf of Radagon has 2204 HP, with that one attack he dealt 2202 dmg leaving him at 2 HP
I seriously used Envoy's Long Horn maxed out and it SLAPPED so hard. It's hilarious to use it against bosses that aren't basic human sized. Anything large enough to take a direct hit like a shotgun blast? 33% of their HP gone. Staggered.
When Margit held his epic speech, then saw your characters face and instantly reversed time to get away 😂

The play through was great, but the editing was even better. I totally lost it seeing Radahn eating the square cut pizza.
Margit jumping back after seeing Karen's face was great as well.
I know it's sort of a meme now to be like "whuuuut? dist can actually play the game?" but I gotta say, finding that one opening for maliketh phase 1, identifying it early enough to take advantage of it, and then executing it with precise timing to barely avoid getting hit while still landing as many bubbles as possible -- that's seriously impressive.
There was a while there where Maliketh was the only required boss for his any% run so I can imagine he's done that fight specifically many times.

This is the first of these meme runs where I had no doubt it was doable (dootable?), I used the Long Horn on my faith build and it wrecked shit until I ran into Maliketh and Radagon's 80% holy resistance. My heart already weeps for Dist.
Edit: After finishing the video, kudos to Dist for persevering against Radagon and becoming the Lord of the Doots. My skill wasn't passing enough to doot him to death.
I remember Long Horn actually being useful against Fire Giant. Only needed to use it thrice to get him to phase two. But against small nimble (or resistant) targets it's pretty hopeless.
@@BlurkFromUtterSpace Bubble shower is also a Placidusax counter, I was struggling against him on my str/fai run and I went to get this weapon, melted him only on +8 with no damage boost talisman (have to go defense cuz I suck at dodging his phase transition swipe), he didn't even get to get to phase 2 due to a lucky poise break.

your editor is really good. Going through it, the editting is so non-intrusive, feels super smooth. Never cuts you off mid sentence or skips potentially engaging moments. And when the ocasional meme hits, it's the icing on top. Love it, props to the person

Envoys long horn is one of my favorite weapons 😁 I did a playthrough with just that and its is ridiculously strong. Does stupid amounts of stagger and can do 3k to 6k damage with the right build and depending on the enemies resistance.

I didn't know you could jump over the crucible knight's charge attack. That was a sweet dodge.
I legit think the longhorn might be the most overpowered weapon with the right stats. Then You throw a mimic in there and the damage and stuns are insane
Grab the physic that helps break posture, boost holy damage, then Alexander jar talisman, holy scorpion tail, and then just spam the weapon art and my god the amount of poise damage and damage is insane
While I can't understate how significant the skill dist has is a factor, these bubble blowers actually seem crazy strong. Like they do hella damage

So many of the bosses in this vid get away with a single hp after a single massive attack which makes me feel like they have 1 hit protection. Funny if true because a lot of games give the player one hit protection but of course a souls game would give the bosses 1 hit and not the player lol

It bugged me too watching one of his Sl1 speedrun and too many of them survived with like 1hp left
It actually does seem to happen a lot to the player. Some people think a part of the Vitality stat is a small chance to stay at 1hp when an attack would kill you. Would be same for bosses.

@@psivampire13 It's difficult to tell if it's 1 hit protection or sheer luck but now that you mention it, I have totally seen it happen even in my own game too.
@@mrtomfox Compared to the Soulsborne games, that almost never happened. Maybe 1% of the time. This time, it seems to happen 30-50%.
I've yet to buy the game and play it myself but I am LOVING these runs, the meme ones in particular. I had no idea those weapons were so viable!

I found this more entertaining than Skumnuts bubble only play through because he did it on NG+ with the build ready at the start and was already overpowered.
Its so cool that fromsoft put certain tools in their games for builds like these to be possible. It shows the variety in combat and overcoming the challenge to make each playthrough feel fresh. I never would have thought about doing this myself.

After playing this many challenges, you would think he would know that rolling in poison/rot causes it to stick to your armor and continue to build up even after you leave it. Soap cleans it off and stops it from continuing to build up like that, at least until you roll in it again.

Honestly, Squidward's hero arc after his beloved friend Spongebob sacrifices himself to save Bikini Bottom is one of the most compelling stories I've ever heard. He never understood the power of blowing bubbles while Spongebob was alive, but still remembered his master's tutelage out of sheer love.
Radagon's Red Wolf living with 1 hp doesn't possibly make any sense, unless there is code making them live on 1 health. There's no way, you did 2202 damage. Let's be generous and say 3 HP could have been left and it still would've looked like 1 pixel - that would put it at 2205 health. That is such a completely random number, there is no way they gave that wolf *specifically* 2205 health. 2200? I could see it. 2000? Nice round number, would make sense. 2205? If that's really its health, a psychopath decided that value.
... Okay I just checked the wiki. "≈ 2,204" health - an even weirder number than 2205. So in short, yes, this enemy was designed by a psychopath.
Apparently both you and bosses have a certain percentage chance of surviving an attack with 1 HP. That way both you and the boss have the opportunity to turn the fight around.
