    I'm so glad the loud crack noise is normal! Everytime I hear it I'm like "is this my last cup?" 😂

      😂same here, though I have been advised to buy good quality beans from reputable retailers as some cheap as chips beans may contain little stones etc that can damage the grinder, but the crack noise is normal...so I've been told anyway 😂

      @Coldeb 89 I've done this a few times, turning the grinder without it being on and working. Does it cause damage long term?

      @@FROSTB4NE 🤔erm, not that I’m aware of, I do occasionally still forget , but it’s still works fine, I think it’s more of a case that it won’t alter the grind size of the bean if you don’t do it awhile it’s running I think.

      Many thanks, I was quite stressed out filming it 😂, I had only just unpacked it , there were no English written instructions, But I couldn't wait to make my first cup of coffee with it so I filmed it for prosperity 😂, I'm much more familiar with it now, what settings to use, which coffee beans are better than others etc. It is a very good coffee maker, but blimey does it use a lot of water 😂

    • @coldeb8911
      @coldeb8911  9 месяцев назад

      I don’t really, the only thing I can suggest is to give it all a throughly good clean, and perhaps a de-limescale with a limescale remover, then make sure everything is put back in place , reset it and restart it. There is I think a fault finding section in the instruction booklet which explains all the flashing lights etc. Sorry I can not be more help.

      @@karwan33 I've tried dozens of Coffee beans in it, some good, some not so good ('Taylor's' coffee beans were tasteless 😖), however, the biggest surprise was Aldi's Colombian Blend (orange and black packet), apart from being one of the cheapest they were also probably the most flavoursome and aromatic coffee beans I've tried in it so far 😊

      @@karwan33 Since owning and using it from when I first posted that video I have gotten to know it a little better, I have found that using either Skimmed or Semi-Skimmed milk works best, not full fat, also, I discovered using a small metal jug and not plunging the steam nozzle to deep into the milk produced better results, ( I also move the Jug up and down and around ). Hope this helps..I also own a Lavassa Milk Frother which I use when I want a more thicker creamer froth.

    You only turn the grinding adjustment when it’s running

    • @coldeb8911
      @coldeb8911  4 года назад +1

      Paul Redden Yeah...I know now, I'd only just taken it out of the box..all the instructions were in a foreign language so I watched other people on RUclips using it..I've since obtained an English language instruction book..but good point for anyone else watching ..don't do what I did...you need to have the grinder running when adjusting it.

      Louisa Hilger Yes...I am much more proficient using it now and I make a lovely cup of Frothy coffee most mornings ( using both hands now of course 😂) I find using a smaller metal jug for frothing the milk gives me better results however...I also use bottled water to keep the limescale down, it’s still working great and delivering great coffee 😊

    Just curious do you have to empty the ground coffee out every single time or does the machine put them into a pot thats removable ??

    • @coldeb8911
      @coldeb8911  4 года назад +2

      GamingxFreakx82 .. no, you don’t,..not after every cup...but you suspected right, the ground coffee gets compressed and forms into round pellets, these are then dropped into a collection tray inside the machine, you just open the door and slide the tray out to remove them.... I hope that helps. (ps, my wife use's the pellets on the potted plants in the garden 😉)

    Why does the milk overflow like that same happened to me

    • @coldeb8911
      @coldeb8911  4 года назад

      JJzRandoms 🤔..not sure, I think it’s because the volume increases as more air gets into , like it does when you boil it in a pan, Ive since got much better using this machine since I posted this video up ( I don’t usually hold my PhoneCam in one hand either now 😂😂), I also use less milk now, which seems to work 😊, Thanks for viewing the clip.

      It will always do that if you fully submerge the stem into whatever you are steaming milk in.
      Which is something you should never do.
      Watch when you go to costa ect. next time.
      Basically you want to tilt your jug at an angle (towards the machine) and have the stem at the bottom of the jug. Turn the steam on and lower your jug until just the tip of the stem is in the milk.
      If you can use a metal jug then use your wedding finger + small finger to feel the temp of the jug at the bottom.
      once it gets hot to touch then turn the steam off and you will have the perfect milk :).
