It's showing stuff they animated, it also includes Spoilers arc 5 Subaru being simultaneously strangled stabbed and affected by sirius' authority in the same trailer which was actually added in the light novel so... They didn't show the most dramatic or painful scenes and in fact have no reason to whatsoever, since these are mostly taken from volume 16 and 17 focusing most on early volume 16, apart from Subaru's death there aren't many of the outright horror scenes yet. (eg the Capella shots are almost exclusively before they had her authority revealed, there were no transformed humans to their knowledge or visible to them until Subaru and Crusch faced her alone). There's a shocked look on Reinhard but none of the corpses, Subaru dying but no masses brainwashed as Lusbel gets chucked, no demibeasts, no fly humans, no suffering Crusch, and a tonne of shots of Wilhelm Ferris Subaru and others just talking. And advertising wise they're not showing off animation to readers but introducing animation to watchers who would then be shocked by all the death and horror. It's hilarious tbh, season 2's trailer also had a completely different tone and focused on Rem looking heroic in volume 9 instead of bunnies. Basically, trailers aren't ops or eds. Those have the spoiler shots of horror.
2:54 SPOILERS It's sad, I thought that the indicator that a person is in the power of a witch would not be so obvious. In the novel, the presentation of Sirius was very scary: author did not indicate that Subaru and the others became came under the power of the witch. And how slowly everyone began to praise the witch while she threw the boy to the ground... And with an eye indicator, any viewer will immediately understand what is happening. Damn, I was so looking forward to seeing this scene adapted.
I think the indicator can make a very haunting scene in the Reinhard vs Serius. Imagine everyone cheering for Reinhard and just as Subara joins the cheering, he cuts off Serius head, cut to Subaru's eyes glowing and his head flying in the air.
I think this is better... because the animation cannot give enough time for the viewer to figure out the situation on their own, like during the written form...

I an beginning to wonder What is the point of tappei recent writing with re zero. Its not that i dont like the recent arch but it frels like its more of s sidetrack/more exploration of the whole re zero realm Spoiler I dont get why we Are not done the the whole vollachia Empire arcs (7+8) after Subaru was transported to vollachia. For 1-6 arcs we saw how subaru changed himself and otherw around him for the better. We learned more about the evil witch Cult, the witches satella and who Subaru and Emilie is somehow connected to all this. That was the main narrative that was followed. After Subaru went to vollachia i feel its become more about the re zero lore (also Reading more about the ex Novels). I feel the story has drifter away from the main narrative to a more game of thrones like narrative, where we constantly move from different groups of People’s story. For me personally i hope we soon resolve the vollachia arc and come back to the main narrative

Al: it becomes clear that al is somehow connected to satella and might be a different version of subaru subarus relationship with a arch bishop: i liked the first part of subaru having to deal with his negative feelings towards Louis/spica and their relationship changes (meaning that bad people Can still somehow be redeemed) Other than that i feel we Are stuck and needs to Learn more about vollachia and i dont even know why it is important. Spoilers arc 7: Everyone's obsessed with his it's just not going anywhere and will just be a series of unnecessary trips around the world before the conclusion. I've watched everything Tappei wrote himself including Sigrdrifa(which is wildly underrated just because people don't like the different tone but worked for me) and have novels from that plus vivy coming as well as arc 6. NONE of these stories have sudden apocalypse situations which weren't crucial to the entire plot. Everything brought up as a danger in Vollachia, Kararagi and Gusteko will probably connect with the core of the plot, since the roles of spirits were already a big part going back to the frozen bond or Echidna and Flügel being connected to the creation of a tower in which a book lets you directly enter od lagna. The stargazers are not randomly added lore although the stuff about observers is absolutely new information, since stargazers are implied to do the same thing as the dragon stone which kind of recontextualises a lot about Lugunica. Vollachia used its stargazers more recently to basically rule the empire with their information and ended up almost destroyed, whereas Lugunica has been following the dragon stone and volcanica its entire history since Satella was sealed and hasn't been affected yet, but it's obvious they're being shortsighted in following sudden instructions which always focus on the short term and don't provide long term solutions (see how they only learned how they should replace the king after the royal family was wiped out). Basically every country we've learned about in the main story has been run in the same way the sin archbishops follow gospels but just on a much larger scale, and it's obvious that this arc is where we stop focusing on the cult and learn about the root of the problems in every country which should be held responsible. There's a reason Subaru went from revenge quests to crisis to child Subaru as the all forgiving guy clashing with everyone as a result, and the goals everyone had are going to be challenged/completely shift starting with arc 7(Emilia who just puts up with everything wrong in Lugunica because she hated herself more than anyone else before arc 4 and she's just being optimistic about people thanks to Subaru post arc 4, like just accepting Roswaal as another example). Also everything so far has made a total victory too obvious, arc 8 is more likely to end it with tragedy and failure. Which is why it probably won't be some straightforward traipse from Vollachia to the next problems and countries.

Yeah, the anime pretty much confirmed that Sirius' hair color, irises and ear shapes are identical to Emilia. Then again, Tappei could be using this to throw people off with the "oh, if they look similar, they're related" logic. We'll see. In the case of it actually being Fortuna, I just wanna see how they resurrected her and why she's wearing the bandages. If you titled a video “Re:Zero is cancelled” merely to speculate about potential controversies regarding the outfits from the light novel, then facing accusations of clickbait shouldn’t come as a surprise, should it? Anime was always its own canon by necessity due to the need to fit a half-hour time slot on a small budget. Few producers can raise enough money for hour long Animes or 54 episode Animes. On top of which Tappei and the Animation Studios often feuded over what would make sense in the medium of Anime and what they would be allowed to show to fit within the ratings guidelines. Elsa alone nearly got the rating agency to declare it a Hentai Anime. The Anime Studios also have an eye on international audiences as well and certain nations have very strict rules on what can be seen. In the past they got around this with uncut episodes aired between midnight and 4pm, but not so much anymore. Apply the Iron Law of Bureaucracy, wokeness, and you have the current mess today.

I dont get why we Are not done the the whole vollachia Empire arcs (7+8) after Subaru was transported to vollachia. For 1-6 arcs we saw how subaru changed himself and otherw around him for the better. We learned more about the evil witch Cult, the witches satella and who Subaru and Emilie is somehow connected to all this. That was the main narrative that was followed. After Subaru went to vollachia i feel its become more about the re zero lore (also Reading more about the ex Novels). I feel the story has drifter away from the main narrative to a more game of thrones like narrative, where we constantly move from different groups of People’s story. For me personally i hope we soon resolve the vollachia arc and come back to the main narrative

subarus relationship with a arch bishop: i liked the first part of subaru having to deal with his negative feelings towards Louis/spica and their relationship changes (meaning that bad people Can still somehow be redeemed)
Other than that i feel we Are stuck and needs to Learn more about vollachia and i dont even know why it is important. Does it say more about subaru or emilias future, the witches or the Cult? No not at all. All that from 1-6 arc is almost forgotten. The only thing that might be related is the observers, but even that is just as mysterious as the witch cult.

Everyone's obsessed with his it's just not going anywhere and will just be a series of unnecessary trips around the world before the conclusion.
I've watched everything Tappei wrote himself including Sigrdrifa(which is wildly underrated just because people don't like the different tone but worked for me) and have novels from that plus vivy coming as well as arc 6. NONE of these stories have sudden apocalypse situations which weren't crucial to the entire plot.
Everything brought up as a danger in Vollachia, Kararagi and Gusteko will probably connect with the core of the plot, since the roles of spirits were already a big part going back to the frozen bond or Echidna and Flügel being connected to the creation of a tower in which a book lets you directly enter od lagna. The stargazers are not randomly added lore although the stuff about observers is absolutely new information, since stargazers are implied to do the same thing as the dragon stone which kind of recontextualises a lot about Lugunica. Vollachia used its stargazers more recently to basically rule the empire with their information and ended up almost destroyed, whereas Lugunica has been following the dragon stone and volcanica its entire history since Satella was sealed and hasn't been affected yet, but it's obvious they're being shortsighted in following sudden instructions which always focus on the short term and don't provide long term solutions (see how they only learned how they should replace the king after the royal family was wiped out).
Basically every country we've learned about in the main story has been run in the same way the sin archbishops follow gospels but just on a much larger scale, and it's obvious that this arc is where we stop focusing on the cult and learn about the root of the problems in every country which should be held responsible. There's a reason Subaru went from revenge quests to crisis to child Subaru as the all forgiving guy clashing with everyone as a result, and the goals everyone had are going to be challenged/completely shift starting with arc 7(Emilia who just puts up with everything wrong in Lugunica because she hated herself more than anyone else before arc 4 and she's just being optimistic about people thanks to Subaru post arc 4, like just accepting Roswaal as another example).
Also everything so far has made a total victory too obvious, arc 8 is more likely to end it with tragedy and failure. Which is why it probably won't be some straightforward traipse from Vollachia to the next problems and countries.

I've been shat on because I bemoaned the missing scene of Daphne and Subaru starvation that led to Echidna feeling genuinely disturbed at Subaru mental state as he completely disregarded eating his own hand. This scene is web novel only and when I expressed my deception of it missing for season 2, people pretty aggressively told me that Anime follow the light novel and therefore that scene had no reason to be in the anime.

Using “cancelled” is particularly odd. If you titled a video “Re:Zero is cancelled” merely to speculate about potential controversies regarding the outfits from the light novel, then facing accusations of clickbait shouldn’t come as a surprise, should it?
You can’t blame people for thinking “Re:Zero is cancelled” would imply “Re:Zero is no longer being produced.”
Anime was always its own canon by necessity due to the need to fit a half-hour time slot on a small budget. Few producers can raise enough money for hour long Animes or 54 episode Animes. On top of which Tappei and the Animation Studios often feuded over what would make sense in the medium of Anime and what they would be allowed to show to fit within the ratings guidelines. Elsa alone nearly got the rating agency to declare it a Hentai Anime. The Anime Studios also have an eye on international audiences as well and certain nations have very strict rules on what can be seen. In the past they got around this with uncut episodes aired between midnight and 4pm, but not so much anymore.
Apply the Iron Law of Bureaucracy, wokeness, and you have the current mess today.
This season is made by Kadokawa that has simple animations, it is not White Fox from the first season, Besides, Gore animes exist friend, and Re Zero is one of them, why change it and not recognize its classification? The novel and especially the web novel are brutal
