    Great video, We have been using this donner system in our shows and they are truly plug and play in most cases, once you plug them in, your dmx cabling is done, we use one receiver per light, it’s expensive to buy them, but the pay off for themselves by saving you time on running dmx wires.

    Another thing to mention. They run off 5V power. What I'll do occasionally is plug my showxpress box into one USB port on my laptop, and plug a USB to 2.5mm barrel connector cable into the wireless dmx transmitter to power it.
    Then I can walk around anywhere with the laptop completely wireless while controlling the lights.

    I have been using Donner for over a year now and I've been able to run M/S with it without any issues. Remember, you can only use 7 receivers per 1 transmitter (if I remember correctly). So if you have an 8 uplight setup, you'll have the transmitter on one par (set as the M) and the rest on S.

      @@paulo.esteves one thing is the group of the wireless signal (coded by colours, I guess that’s what you refer to with the 7 groups) and the other is your lights colours. This just sends the dmx signal, you’re mixing 2 different concepts. It will work no matter what your lights are like

    What I am not seeing is the ability to set a "2nd receiver" (and 3rd and 4th) to a different dmx color and control them *independently*. Currently, you have a transmitter's color matching a receiver's color. Fine, BUT, can those two (or more) fixtures/receivers operate *independently* when going down the Wireless DMX route using one (1) transmitter? To reiterate and clarify, this set being reviewed operates 7 fixtures ***together*** --as in synced with each other, ONLY. That is limited! Can anyone assist me with this? Correct me if I'm mistaken? Thanks!!!

  • @LassoLarry
    @LassoLarry 4 года назад +1

    Rick, I use these successfully as a Master/Slave solution. Example: I have 2 Gigbar II's. The master is controlled by the foot pedal remote that comes with the Gigbar. I plug the transmitter into the DMX-out of the master and plug the power supply into the power outlet conveniently located on the back. Next, I plug a battery-powered receiver into the DMX-in socket of the slave and make sure that Gigbar is set to Slave mode. When I use the foot pedal remote control for the master, the slave follows suit perfectly! After all, the DMX output on a master IS a DMX signal. Why did it not work for you?

    I have 2 question please, how many receivers can be used on a transmitter? if I buy two sets of 7+1 can I use 14 receivers with a single transmitter? on the same color? And can they only be used for LED par or can they also be used for moving head, more precisely can I put 4 receivers to 4 moving heads and 4 to 4 LED par? or do you recommend that I use a receiver only for the first device and for the following devices normal cable? But if the pars Device they are not close to each other can I use a receiver for each separate device? Thank you very much and I greatly appreciate it if you manage to respond to the comment! 🤗🤗🤗

    I think you can use them as Master Slave. Assuming the transmitter and receivers are paired... On the MASTER LIGHT, plug a transmitter in the DMX OUT. select a program to run on the light. Then plug a receiver on another light - DMX IN and then on that light select a DMX channel until you see the same program running on the first light. I believe that it will work.
