FYI the MyDMXgo has connection issues because apple forces the app to stop sending signal IF the iPad is closed for 10 minutes or more. That's when the connection issues have occurred for me. I've completely fixed this issue by switching my iPad settings to never sleep. I then make sure I never touch the top button on my ipad to turn off the screen. If the screen stays ON the entire gig then you'll drastically reduce your iPad to MyDMXgo drop outs :)

Cooper Brown can you tell me if you can use two or mydmxgo’s together?
Android tablets have the same issue of putting the my dmx go app to sleep when the screen shuts off. To fix this problem, I use the Keep Screen On app, which allows me to choose which apps stay on continuously.
A great explanation of the difference between both products. I get asked this question all the time. I understand that people to get confused, but they are essentially two separate tools.
I'm so over the My DMX Go, I was a fan but it has so many problems, it failed the last time on NYE. I'm really glad you walked us through it. I'm ordering a Bridge

Another more advanced option is the ADJ myDMX 3.0. Can use it a few ways: (A) Setting up show mode to run on a tablet, (B) saving scenes to the internal memory, and (C) using a laptop. An extremely flexible option, but has a steep learning curve plus additional costs to unlock extra features/channels.
NeoNautica this has been my route over the two that Barr speaks about. Barr any chance you are going to review this hardware also?
Nice vid. I do soundswitch. Instant light show that is linked to the beat grid with the ability to create your own shows...Also, if you want manual control just link it to a midi controller and you can control your lights to strobe, spot light, etc...Also I believe you can link the soundswitch dongle to the air stream bridge...I wirelessly control my lights via the Rockville audio wireless system and lights (basically similar to the adj wifly ).
I agree 100%. My DMX Bridge is a better option for me. I tried the My DMXGo and had all kinds of problems. I sent it back to ADJ. I've had drop out problems with the bridge but I think that's because of the location. It needs to be elevated in a line of sight orientation. Just upgraded to the Pro version. Nice!

Nice video man. I actually started out with lighting and DMX with soundswitch which is really amazing. It's like the serato of the industry in a way with their design especially. Would love to hear your thoughts on that (or someone you know who uses it).

Question, I just recently got the Adj Dmx go to control my lighting. But, I have Chauvet moving heads and Chauvet Freedom Hex uplights. Unless I’m doing something wrong will the Dmx Go let me control my uplighting color with my movers....?

When using airstream dmx stream and making scenes on a tablet can I migrate everything to my cellphone with all the scenes without re entering everything( like having a login)

I had the my dmx go but sold it since it would lag out on the app and sometimes would not work but I'm looking forward to get the adj 4stream DMX bridge
i have both of them and you know if you download the firmware to the adj airstrem dmx bridge, you can use lightrider app with it if you purchase the licence key thru the app store. Lightrider was the precurser to my dmx go app before adj bought into nicolaude software. i prefer my dmx go because its has preset scenes and move that helps with smaller event. the bridge to me is more intense and take TIME and a learning curve, but it still good. but fyi you can set scenes in mydmx go and store custom scenes. but the dropout does happens, you have to keep the app running or it will lose connection for some reason

I have an specific question, i'm a solo performer (singer) and I would like to know if there is a way to control lights like Soundswitch does, but instead of using VirtualDJ I would like to use iTunes 'cause I use the iTunes remote on an iPad to launch individual songs... Do you know how could i do it?

Are your Uplights all synced individually through WiFly or does 1 Master control the other Slaves? I'm trying Master/Slave with my Rekordbox DMX and the Master/Slave WiFi on my Uplights seems to be interfering with the Wireless DMX transmitters somehow. Everything breaks after 30min...
I use QLC+ on a small laptop with a 50 euro USB DMX (all 512 channels!) interface. QLC+ is open source software and not that user friendly. But it's cheaper than those options.
If you're tech savvy like me not a problem. QLC+ has a lot of capabilities including using MIDI controllers or sound sources. So you could let your lights react to sound but by your own rules instead of the baked in programs of your light. Or control them with physical buttons. Anything really. :)

Please review the tape you called it absolute best for mobile Dj's. less than year it seems like you have back track and heaping praises on ADJ Airstream in expense to my DMX Go. In-facts, you claim in you video that myDMX Go is better interface for DMX lighting. BARR please keep it simple when putting distinction between 2 product. In my opinion i think you still the best in analyzing products. You have to keep things simple Barr and candid.

Since you have both... I wanna test something, can you use the myDMXgo box DMX by cable any WiFLY light & use the WiFLY system on all the lights after the first light.

Do you use sound active on your lights with your airstream? I can’t get my lights to work in sync with sound active. Do you have to same problem?
I’ve been using the Airstream Bridge for around 2 years now. As far as I can tell, sound active uses the mic on the individual fixtures which means unless they are in master slave, they will be OUT of sync in sound active mode.
The DMX GO uses the mic on the actual interface. I do not own that interface, but I believe it should should allow the same lights to be IN sync.
If there is a work around for the Bridge, I would be interested in it as well

I have 3 different dmx controllers: a Traditional ADJ DMX controller, ADJ NE1, and MyDMXGo. I am currently using MyDMXgo and you can program MyDMXgo to create your own shows/Scenes. If I am doing an Event and I need to move my moving heads around to a specific spot, I will use my ADJ NE1, as it gives me more control over the Moving Heads.I can move them anywhere I want on the fly. I wanted to learn about DMX, so my first DMX Controller was a Traditional one.
The ADJ NE1 is a great DMX controller, but it is more time consuming to program than the ADJ MyDMXgo. I don’t own the ADJ Airstream, but it is an awesome piece of gear. I can use my Donner wireless DMX with all of my DMX controllers, just shut off WiFly on the ADJNE1to transmit from Donner wireless DMX.

I never can get this thing to work right. I was new to DMX lighting and could not afford the prices of the name brand stuff and ordered off brand and never can get them to actually to control the lights. Either the light in not in the software or there is a issue with creating the light profile. I wrote to the company and even they could not create the correct profile to control the light. They would recommend another light saying it's close to the light I have. But still it doesn't control the light correctly. I hear you say in your video it can control any light but this seems to be a issue for the dmx controller. I have My DMX Go. It's a horrible device.

You can set scenes on a traditional desk too. And your set for life
Get yourself an airstream box and you can use both the airstream app and light rider app. Light rider is the same exact app as my dmx go just a different name. You just need to purchase the license for light rider and make sure your airstream box is on firmware v.3. You get both of best worlds with one box. And Barr update your airstream app to the pro app.
The Pro App isn’t available nor is the light rider. How or where can I download those apps

Hey bro Not to nitpick but As it was explained to me by a ADJ representative, with the my DMX go even though it has a second out, you can't use that second out unless you pay them to unlock that for you... You get 256 channels on the one if you want another universe to give you 512 you got to pay them for it

ADJ Airstream DMX Bridge - Airstream app - 512 ch. + 100$ licence = Light Rider via ArtNet 512ch.
ADJ My DMX Go - 256 ch. - only Light Rider app and My DMX Go app
Both 2.4gHz Wi-Fi not a 5gHz in my case in Ukraine this is a problem, many times the signal disappeared due to the large number of mobile phones in the room.
For those who are comfortable working with the Light rider or My DMX Go app and have problems with wi-fi - any an ArtNet device (1 Un.512ch.) + router for 5gHz settings.
Also even over time, we found a problem with Airstream with long use, the system crashes, a chaotic light show begins. A possible reason is the overheating of the Wi-Fi module.

Mydmx go and lightrider have the same interfaces. So what would be the benefit of using the airstream bridge over using mydmx go?

This has never worked for me, I put it in a box and there it sets cause I could never get it to work on both sides. I bought a single par light and it would not even control that. I think its junk.
