If you think this is your Budgie send me an email with proof. When and where did you loose your Budgie. Special markings, banded of not. Does it talk or whistle certain tunes?
Does the Budgie step up or fly to you? Any characteristics?
    Email is in my description.
No, your Budgie will not fly over lakes or Oceans or for many miles. No spamming please

That was so amazing! So glad you caught him. My first budgie I rescued from outside too. I was only about 10 years old and we lived in Chicago. It was October so the weather was starting to change and we saw him outside at our bird feeder, like you said, with the sparrows. My bedroom on the second floor had a deck outside so I rigged a cage with leaves and branches to camouflage it, put some bird seed in there and tied a string to the door and then strung it into my bedroom. When I came back a little later I pulled the string, just in case he was in there because I couldn’t see, and sure enough. He had gone in there and I caught him! So I brought him inside, set up a cage for him in my room. Awhile later after I had come back upstairs to my room, he was gone! He had escaped, and it turned out he knew how to open the door. I found him in my parents’ room and reached up and he hopped right on my finger! He’s was the smartest little guy and even told me his name! He would say, “Pretty Poochie, Poochie is a pretty bird.” He was my best friend and was so smart.

Aren't you worried that he might be carrying an infection? A bird flew to me in almost the same way in 2016. It flew around the balcony for a couple of hours, we lured it with food, and finally it flew into the room. I had a male Rosenkolis and a female flew in and they immediately became close. In 2018, she started showing symptoms of "beak and feather disease" which is incurable and highly contagious. She died at the end of last year. Now I can't adopt any birds because the male is probably infected (but not sick). The male is practically doomed to be alone because I don't want to knowingly infect another bird.

When the female died I asked again and they confirmed that I should not bring another bird to the male. The male, although (according to the veterinarian) carries the virus, did not get sick.
Did you see the e-mail I sent you in April? The e-mail is not about this sad topic but about making interesting bird comfort items, and contains photos I took while the female was alive.

I admire your love for these tiny birds,
    I have 19 budgies
How do you keep the room clean?
    I desperately need help
Al i seem to be doing is cleaning morning, lunch, evening,
    I have 6 cages
I let them fly out 3 times a day for 2 hrs each time,
    I don’t have a bird room
They live in the kitchen and family room, so much cleaning
I too love my budgies very much,
I’m to scared to take them outside I already lost 5, the flew out
I’m hoping you will reply 🙏💐

There's a beautiful icy blue and white budgie in my backyard. I've been trying to catch it for 4 days now lol it's hanging out with a group of sparrows that hangout in the large tree out back that I feed. I've tried the box trap, I've tried placing the bird feeder in a large bird cage, he/she is too smart. Any ideas? I saw a copper hawk in my tree couple days ago, so I need to hurry 🩵🤍

Hi, its best to remove all feeders if you haven't already and place one near the cage and slowly move it into the cage. Buy some spray millet and place at the back of the cage. Tie a string around the door so that you can pull it to close it when the budgie go in.
Play Budgies singing on your phone or use a speaker and place it behind the cage.
      Good luck.
