I’ve been to Kano city after I was posted to jigawa for camp . After camp went to Kano to spend some days with some of my camp mates we had so much fun there , before everybody started taking flights back to their homes
First of all, Kano is not under sharia law but the Nigerian law. Secondly, Kano has a section where people from other states have their freedom to live as they want as kano is under Nigerian law not sharia law.such places include sabon gari, badawa layout and so on.

I think you are wrong on this one. Kano (including 11 northern states) operates on penal code and sharia law. The remaining 7 states still operates on penal code except that this states does not follow sharia/ its almost non existent. The south in the other hand operates in criminal code..
