    Funny - I was just doing this tonight. Acetone gets my vote, less of a mess & less likely to cause damage. A plastic tool to scrape with is a must.

      Acetone should get vote, especially for less likely to cause damage. When Mr. Haseeb showed paint removal video, I wondered why so aggressive solution. Maybe it was related with accessibility, maybe he can get easier paint removal than acetone, I dont know. People work with what they have at hand.

    Bu harika içerik için teşekkürler Eşref hocam. Boya çıkarıcı riskli olsada aseton a göre temiz bir yüzey bırakıyor. Allah CC sizden razı olsun.

    I use goof off or MEK. Removes the voting almost instantly with the swab, and evaporates quickly. You have to take care of not getting it on any plastics if they’re made of pvc.

    In the past I used paint stripper. It works and leaves a mess so I washed the board in a sink filled with boiling water and scrubbed with paintbrush and soap and it came out very clean after drying in the sun for a few hours.

    Hello Sir. The resistor marked 12C, 01C, E95, 30D, etc what does it mean ?

  • @macy-gu6vl
    @macy-gu6vl 3 месяца назад +1

    Yes it works very well but dislike the smell so i often used alcohol to clean boards.

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes
      You are right its smell and fumes are heavy
      So it is bewt to use in well ventilated area
      Isopropyl Alcohol is very slow with compared to acetone

    While we are talking chemicals. Ive had tv screens that seemed to have a greasy film impossible to remove. I tried methylated spirits, ipa, vinegar, rp7, window cleaner. The trick was to use vinegar, wipe followed by the ipa and wipe. Always been a magical combination. So why not try such a dual system with the ic coatings too.

    Even if paint remover is more efficient i would prefer acetone because it will not damage the board or other components.

      If it is washesd with water and then cleaned with IPA. it is effective and it will not damage anything

    Sir I was addict to watch your video because I admire to know about electronic circuit. So if you don't mind i always ask you question many time. Some question you answer and some question you don't answer. Anyway sir. Because search a help and assit if possible. Sir if you have time please help me. This one that i always want to know. Why when you test a circuit board you reverse the lead or probe in circuit. What is that mean sir. In positive you put black lead and negative you put red lead.that is the idea I want to know sir

    • @Solder_it
      @Solder_it 3 месяца назад +3

      I want to answer your question, excuse me Prof Mohammed. To fully understand these repair videos it is better to understand basic electronics. Also me i am learning everyday. I will give you an example of why sometimes he flip the leads to measure. Lets say he is measuring a Diode, a regular Diode will allow current to flow only in one direction right? And by putting the multimeter in Diode Mode you place red(+) probe (lead) to Anode side of the diode(+) and black lead to cathode(-) the diode will conduct and complete the circuit. As a result you will get a reading(voltage drop across the diode) then you swap the leads to make sure the diode is not shorted. The diode should not conduct in the opposite side. These is only one example.

    Interesting video - I bought some acetone recently for this purpose, though have not tried it yet. I had intended to use it to completely strip the coating from a board, so that testing and soldering are easier - it doesn't look from the video if either method shown are suitable for my needs. Do you use anything else to remove the coating?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 месяца назад +1

      yes
      3-4 coats of acetone soften the arylic layers and it must be used in well ventilated area and fire risk free area. becasue it is highly inflameable and its fumes are strong

    As per your demo of using the paint remover and the Acetone to remove the formal coating on the ICs I think that using acetone will be more safe without any problem than the paint remover since the paint remover will if applied in excess will destroy the pcb. Am I right?

    The paint remover worked well, after using paint remover, we can use rinse it in distilled water and dry it well in a oven to remove any moisture. We should remove any switches , push buttons, relays from the board.

      If you are going to use water, might as well use lye.
