Rex and Pyra are the only couple in Xenoblade 2 with actual development. Rex had zero moments with Mythra where they emotionally bond and Nia's crush on him came right outta nowhere.

I'm just glad videos like this exist to show all the newcomers that Pyra and Mythra aren't just fanservice. Not that they don't have any (or even only small amounts of it), but they're still well-written characters.
For everyone who has questions I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability
1. Who was Pneuma talking to in the ending?
Answer: most theories point to adamm actually
2.Does Pyra and Mythra loose their memories?
Answer: Rex and the gangs reaction, their reaction to poppi, suggest that they did not
3. What the hell did they say!?
Answer: People who data mined the files actually did find out that while the main ending stays the same regardless, the after credits scene DID have multiple variations, finding subtitles that for the bad ending that said "Hi, I am Pyra/Mythra", and the good ending that DID STAY, where they said "I love you Rex" (I believe that was said, but if that is wrong, be aware aware that the good ending did show they kept their memory), but the developers decided to keep the good ending without subtitles, to leave it open minded

John Seal she talked to Mali’s without music it’s malos adams voice is different instead of 4 endings they mixed it up and to mix it up I think it’s hinted that both lost memories of their bad memories and so it’s like if they are talking to Rex like when he said they should live in cliffs titan so I think they said finnaly Rex , also datamined they said I’m back as Pyra and also Hello REX and also said Hello Rex I’m mythra and pyra meaning they lost some bad memories with Rex and only had good memories as BOTH are happy it said or to say like you didn’t forget me so most likely the devs thought of 4 endings scrapped that voice synced hello Rex I’m pyra / mythra and thought players would find that out

Honestly the worst one for me was Poppi bumping Rex on the head and then caressing his face while telling him how much her and Tora looked up to him while trying not to cry, after he's given up all hope on beating Jin. That scene about killed me emotionally.
That brief moment where Gramps says "reminds you of Addam, don't you think?" and Pyra tears up always stands out to me. Actually it's really kinda sad.

Thing is they actually aren’t tall at all. Official art book that has all the characters heights and puts Pyra/Mythra at 5’2 and Rex at like 4’11. And personally I like short girls and would never date a girl taller than me.

Oh my god.... I love this game ! Torna the golden country made it perfect. I love the story about jin and lora, the bittersweet pain jin feels all that time. I love the innocent love story of rex and pyra/mythra and how they tell it.

I watched this never having heard of Pyrah or Mythra outside of smash before and I gotta say that I’m not a man who cries easily, but this…… this story put a smile on my face and tears in my eyes whilst my heart beat fast and slow again in feeling for poor Rex and Pyrah/Mythra.
Please tell me that this game won a “ Game of the Year Award ” Please tell me it did!
It didn't... most JRPGs are completely ignored in these type of events, unfortunately. I highly recommend you to play the game, it's one of my favorites and I have so many great memories with it, along with its prequel Torna: The Golden Country and the other games of the franchise. Xeno truly is an amazing series, a shame it's not that popular...
