Lube them regularly and flush out all the debris that flings back off the front tire. These steps don’t have adequate drainage, so they collect everything coming off your front tires. They require more maintenance than any other brand I’ve ever installed.

Do both steps come down if you only open a door from one side?
No, only left step drops when left doors are opened, and only right step drops when right doors are opened.
