Maddy definitely had my favorite runway look this week. That was some creative, original stuff we haven’t seen on the runway yet. Idc if she was wearing flats, it was obviously because of her having to be hunched over. I’m excited to see what else she brings.

Let's talk about the dress then, how it was a robe a la polonaise (although they were out of fashion when Marie Antoinette was decapitated in the 1790s) but it had a very visible hoop (theta were not invented until mid 1800s) and a weird triangular panel in the middle that should have been the exposed petticoat. Also it had no extended hips wich was like the key of 1700s fashion
I was too busy gawking at how well Maddy played a quirky severed head to notice the shoes or even care when it was pointed out.
I love how Deja said she loves pastels while wearing only neons and vibrant colors in her enterance and the confessional looks
Monet has really elevated her drag and has let that personality just shine. She's really become an amazing queen.

@@EmpressG Adore is also bi, but I think there’s a ton of different between a bi guy between gays and a straight guy between gays…
I don't really think the heel critique was fair to Maddy considering how the look worked. She was basically bent in half for most of that runway to give the illusion that her head is waist high without looking like a giant - the illusion is done by building a torso to sit on the queens shoulder while her head pokes out which adds 2-3 feet of height depending on the proportions - it'd be pretty much impossible to walk in heels like that without looking extremely hobbled.
If the sacrifice of seeing such a unique look on the runway is a flat, so be it. I'd rather that than have her look 8 feet tall to do the illusion fully upright, or risk her being injured trying to walk like that in heels...that kind of pressure would be *terrible* for her knees and god knows drag race has lost enough contestants to knee injuries in the last few seasons.

If you watch the Untucked for this episode he does show and verbalize a little bit of his understanding of the art and sense of queer community, and the impact that witnessing it had on him as a human being. Now... the jokes about him being straight - he is straight, it's just a fact. As long as the jokes are not mean-spirited or disrespectful to him as a person I think it's pretty much fair ground. Also, he's a comedian, he gets it, he knows what a joke is and what is an insult. I don't think people give him enough credit yet but I believe we will see in time
