Would it make less mess removing the filter cap if you removed the safety pin and pulled that filter cap plug first, which would drain filter oil out before removing cap? Thanks for the vid.
In 49 years of driving, I've always put the amount of oil required, if it take 5 quarts , that what i put in. My dipstick always shows full on the dipstick. And when i check it a few days later, its never been over full. You definitely did not put 5 quarts of oil in, and no way, would the small amount of oil draining down, make it go from half full, to FULL on the dipstick. The oil change place i always use, actually brings the dipstick for me to look at after the oil change, to VERIFY its at THE FULL MARK.
There will be two marks on the dipstick to show the optimum level that your oil should be at. Your oil level should be somewhere between the two, if you go all the way up to full mark nothing wrong with that if the level is in between the two line is also okay.
Hello Sir: You do nice work. I am going to use this video to do a Oil change on my 16 yearly son's New/Used 2021 Kia K5 (1.6L turbo model engine) as a guideline. This is very detailed video and by the way, is a new drain plug gasket included in the OEM Kia oil filter box?

Thanks for the correct way of putting the "drain plug pin" all other videos place the pin from bottom after inserting the filter which can cause oil leaks
