  • When researching getting Ham Radio Deluxe configured with my existing software which is primarily interfaces through Omnirig I kept running into the same article from the SDRuno website. The approach there just didn’t work for how I wanted to operate.
This video illustrates what I did to get everything working the way I wanted with HRD

Good info. The only thing missing is actually showing the screens/settings so we can find where to go to get it working in a similar fashion easier. But I'm glad to know this is possible.

Fine work and good, clear explanation about the HRD server hookup. Firing up 756 with omnirig after several years off.

That’s a great video, I do have a question. Although I like the idea, how are you going to use the SDRuno filters in the config you are suggesting? It looks like you won't be able to - which is the reason (I would imagine) that you want to slave the other apps to SDRuno. Am I correct on that or missing something? 73.

I’m only using the SDRuno for the waterfall display and to quickly scan an tune to a given signal (ie:control my radio). So far, I haven’t found anything compelling about the SDRuno filters that my radio didn’t do better. But if I did, I run all my devices into an audio interface so I could theortically RX on my SDRplay (employing the SDRuno filters) and TX on my 991. - I actually did this for a while when I was experimenting with the diversity reception capability of the SDRplay duo.

Hi i am figuring out how i get the right menus in HRD do you have some more detailled images or screenshots? I understand the concept. I make use of an old version of HRD and clean install and work with the program for a week now. I am searching and searchin where to enable the virtual comport with the TS2000 i cant find this option. some details would help me a lot. This apporach makes HDR the main program to manage the RIG and all other integrations could be done over omnirig, i like the approach.

You still need hardware SDR play or RTL SDR etc, for your setup?

I upgraded my radio this year so I don't necessarily need to use my SDR play I still run it because it provides a much better / wider view of the band activity compared to the one in my radio.

@@BarryShaffer my radio is ic-7300 ..i am thinking if can just use HRD+SDR console or SDR uno without Hardware SDRplay can work..

I know you can get the waterfall over USB on the Icon using their software (I can't on my yaesu). But I don't know if any SDR software package can directly interface this way.
