    Great tips, thanks.
    My suggestion for Kevin is to run through all the various movement commands at the very start of the video series. I'm a Fusion noob, and maybe I missed it, but during the tutorials I often see you panning, zooming, etc as you provide instruction. Using the pan/zoom/orbit commands at the bottom of the screen as I followed along was getting tedious. I discovered the mouse wheel roll would zoom in / zoom out, but that was all I could do without the bottom menus.
    After a little poking around, I found a RUclips video that demonstrated use of click and hold the scroll wheel while dragging to pan, and shift + click and hold the scroll wheel while dragging to orbit. That made a world of difference. Maybe if you reviewed those movement commands around the same time that you review the preferences settings it might help some learners.

    Another great video from an excellent video series!
    I spend my evenings watching many of the videos in the series from this RUclips channel using Chromecast and my television.
    Then on the following day or when I have free time I then come back and follow along with the same video while at my computer.
    I really appreciate the crisp clear and consistent audio in each video in the series in this channel.
    In truth I watch hundreds of videos each week, they are mostly tutorials for the various subjects I am either studying or interested in.
    My time is valuable and as such I have a paid RUclips subscription so that commercials and advertisements are not displayed while I'm watching RUclips.
    I like to vote with my money by showing support for the very best channels using patreon or whichever method the RUclips channel creator prefers.
    Just like the fact that my time is limited so is my money, as such I only sign up as a patreon for the absolute best channels on the internet and I only do that for a short while during the time that I am watching that RUclips channel most heavily.
    If everybody takes just a little bit of effort and supports the creators like the one of this channel and rewards excellent creators for their content, that helps them to create additional videos.
    Having said that I intend to sign up as a patreon to this channel and show my support.
    I am of course subscribed with notifications turned on and thumbs up!

    My tip is to change the RUclips playback speed on the building tutorials (click on cogwheel bottom right) to 0.75 or even 0.5 if you can't keep up with Kevin
    - he talks so fast :)
    I'm slower than some, so this helps me, but makes Kevin sound a bit slurred!
    Great teaching tho - thanks.

    Would it be possible to produce detailed video on general housekeeping of files. Tips on saving and naming would be useful. Of course you may have already done this!

    Speaking of that lego video, my version didn’t allow the control d function that you used in the video. Is that because I’m not on a Mac or is it because it’s the free non student version?

    • @ProductDesignOnline
      @ProductDesignOnline  3 года назад

      Strange. It should work on both Windows and Mac and all versions. Are you still experiencing that? If so, it may be worth a restart/restore default settings.

    Hi,
    What’s the best monitor to use with Fusion 360 ? Wide screen is better ? What about minimum size ? Thank you

    • @ProductDesignOnline
      @ProductDesignOnline  3 года назад

      Typically, with any CAD program the larger the better because you'll have more room to have large models. I run Fusion 360 on an iMac so I cannot comment too much on a good monitor... Anything reasonable should do 😃

    Nice video as usually. I'm interested on how to extrude rounded text (text on an arc) on a surface.
    Till now the text feature can manage only line text.
    I know there is a F360 app in the store but is not for free :-( !!

    • @ProductDesignOnline
      @ProductDesignOnline  5 лет назад

      Hi, IceCreams62. There are a few different "hacks" to do this. I'll put this on the to do list for potential videos. Unfortunately, there ins't a really simple way to do this in Fusion 360 yet. At least not without a few different steps. Cheers, Kevin :)

    • @IceCreams62
      @IceCreams62 5 лет назад +1

      @@ProductDesignOnline Thanks Kevin. I can use SVG file to import the rounded text but is not a good solution for me . Or i can use a circle as reference and put the letters one a time but it's so hard to align the letters well. Waiting for your solutions :-) !!!

    • @ProductDesignOnline
      @ProductDesignOnline  5 лет назад

      @@IceCreams62 I try to stay away from SVGs because they're very hard to update should you need to make changes later down the road. However, sometimes they're the easiest solution. Cheers, Kevin :)

      In the mean time i have found a Brad Tallis video that solve my need using a circle as a reference to place the letters. Just enough for the moment. But in any case i'm waiting for your solution :-) Thanks for your great work for us

    Question for you. I'm pretty new to fusion 360, I designed a star field on fusion for the flag I'm building. The problem I'm having is my tool path stops carving half way up on all my stars. It wont make the points on the stars. I set up a tool for a 60⁰ v bit. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks for your time.

    • @ProductDesignOnline
      @ProductDesignOnline  4 года назад

      Hi John. Not sure if I can help with that without seeing your file/setup. Did you setup the tool paths in Fusion 360? If so, can you share your file?
      To share your file - In Fusion 360 go to File > Share > Share Public Link (make sure "downloadable" is toggled on) > Paste your link here as a reply to this comment. Then, please write a separate comment letting me know you've replied with a link because RUclips flags most links and I don't always get notified. Cheers, Kevin :)

    How can I upload a PDF file ad SVG file into fusion 360 to redesign from it?

    • @ProductDesignOnline

      Hi, tdeaguirre. Fusion 360 does not allow PDF files to be inserted. To insert an SVG file go to the Insert dropdown > Insert SVG > Select plane or face to place the SVG on > Select SVG file.

    you will also experience the "offline mode" if for some reason your system clock does not match the server (cloud) time. F.E. if you have dual boot setup (linux + windows) you will be 1 hr off after switching from linux to windows. Remember that.
