I really appreciate MJ’s parenting methods. 👍🏽👍🏽 She didn’t force Ruda to eat the soup. Instead, she focused on teaching her how important it is to keep her promises. Ruda listens and understands so well. Even when she was in tears she stopped to focus and think about what MJ was saying. I love this family!🤗💕

I think so too. Some seem to think she didn't like it but I don't think that was the problem. I think she just really didn't want to eat the soup but after hearing her mom explain why she should try it she did. You pretty much insulted Ruda, she’s a toddler and what toddler doesn’t throw a tantrum? But her refusing to taste the mushroom soup, wasn’t a tantrum and you may like mushroom soup but a lot of people hate it but you must have missed the part she did try it twice and she said she liked it. Kids are just picky eaters, just like adults are. All parents or people taking care of kids, have to put up with or be patient with kids. I’ve seen worse tantrums from little kids having screaming fits and falling to the floor.

As long as you make trying new things a good experience for her she will grow up well. So that she has some control she doesn't have to eat things she doesn't like after trying it a few times. I'm surprised she doesn't like it when she already likes things like a creamy pasta sauce but maybe it's just the principle of the matter to her. Toddlers are like that. I didn't like trying new things as a kid but after trying certain things a few times, first the cooking liquid of the sprouts, then a leaf, then one sprout, I did grow to love them. I never had to eat a whole plate of them. Kids need to learn new tastes at their own pace.
