    Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

    I wish I had seen this before I built my shed. I hung all the sheathing by myself on the vertical studs. Would've been much nicer to lay the walls down and attach the siding before raising them up (although I would have definitely needed help raising the walls). Built mine out of steel 2x4's. They could have laid those last 2 walls on the floor sideways before raising them up and saved a bit more effort. Nicely done. I bet a small solar panel and D.C. fan would do all the air flow you need. And I love the garage door at the end. Mine shed is 12x8, and my side door is about in the same spot, now I'm tempted to cut the same kind of opening for a garage door on the same end. Sweet indeed.

    • @jeffpowell5667
      @jeffpowell5667 7 лет назад

      Willie trying to use that trick on the end wall can lead to problems at times. Better to get the frame together tight, that way if it comes a little out of plumb, you can just trim the plywood off.

    the roof was installed incorrectly, drip edge is supposed to be on top of the felt paper to keep wind driven rain from going under the paper and rotting the ply/osb wood

    Yanno, depending on your location, you could probably do well with a solar power setup off the roof, wouldn't need to run electricity out there at all. For example, I've installed a solar attic fan in my shed, which really cuts down on the monthly elec costs. Just a thought. Good lookin' shed, though!

    The pink is for the vertical wall studs and pre cut to length to go between the top and bottom wall plates. They do that so you dont get them mixed up with a regular 8' 2x4.

    You help your own at all costs and if you have money to get it done, you could sure pay a higher price for a better job. I would.. If I don't want to spend the money for something to be built, I sure as hell won't pay cheaper incase the job is done not as well then it costs me more in the long run.. PLUS I like to help my own people FIRST.

    Great video Fubar! One of my favorites for sure. The building turned out great! Nice touch with the pink studs as well... I'm guessing you used those because that was your nickname in high school, "The Pink Stud."
    First song was very fitting but you lost me on the last 2... maybe "Mexican Radio" or possibly even "Mexico" by James Taylor would have been fitting. =)

  • @ChaplainJoe1
    @ChaplainJoe1 12 лет назад

    There is just something wrong with a pink stud. It just doesn't compute. Impressive shed but that's why I never give Mexican's Red Bull. Can't slow em down and they talk non-stop at 100 mph. Keep on rockin Foobie.

    Great video, but it took longer than 10 minutes in reality, didn't it? Because RUclips says it actually took 13:19 to build. BTW, you need to cover the open area around the fan shroud (the round ring) with some plywood Otherwise the fan will create negative pressure behind the fan and draw air from the closest point -- the openings around the fan shroud. The fan will draw more air in than it exhausts. I cut a square of plywood and used a jig saw to cut a circular opening for the fan.
