  • During this series we will be taking an in-depth look a diversity of plants of different categories for your landscape. The plants covered in these videos do well in our area in Central Florida, but have been chosen to be the most applicable to other parts of the state as well.
Trees are something that typically require a large space to commit to properly and can sometimes make designing or planning a landscape difficult. However, there are a number of smaller growing trees that make a beautiful compromise between needed space and the effect you get out of it; whether that be shade, color, or wildlife attraction!

My goal is to get each of my county's 71 (according to FNPS) native trees. I'm 7 short of this list and I really love them all for different reasons!

I'm trying to do the same...kinda difficult on 0.2 acres...I'll still try...much easier with graminoids and forbs.

Good to see your videos. Try millennial park, and Phillipe Park. I used to offer nature tours in all parks in Pinellas county. I also talked about local history

I know these are time consuming to do, but they’re really great and I’m sad there’s not more.

Too many people are doing “butterfly pollinator gardens” leading to a huge decrease in tree canopy and urban forests as people cut down all the trees to plant their little coreopsis and such 🙄
