My mate and his wife met Bernard at the Embassy Club in 1986, said he was a true gentleman. Was legit a real nice bloke, never had any ill will against anyone's race, sexual orientation, gender, or anything . He just wanted to make people laugh.

He could've cleaned up his comedy and made extra millions and also became a neutered t.v star with some nice golden idols awarded to hm annually from the Guilds and critics for the 60 metre Mantelpiece[ which would've had to have been re-enforced and fortified with steel rods for the amount of awards that would've came his way.

@@jeangreenfield5993 jokes only have power if you let them. That's the problem, people need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop living with a victim mentality, encouraged by a collective victimhood culture. Jokes are how you interpret them, so effectively the joke is on you.
You mentioned the importance of communication, which can not be effectively achieved if one has the 'power' to shut down that conversation, or the conveyance of discourse. One may not like criticism, for instance, but without the ability to interpret criticism one would not be efficacious to improve.
Humour is simply humour, to forcibly remove the power of laughter is more dangerous than the susceptibility to be offended.
