We now have a bunch of unused plastic and wooden useless creations that were thought to be a good idea at the time. Waste of money, materials and time. Then the frikin thing does a lousey job, stops in the middle of a creation, sometimes, smells the house up that is toxic and creates a better mess than the dumb idea being created! Bottom line, don't buy one if you have kids. The creation will be no different than those pictures you thought was a good idea to take then you simply delete them. I only wish I could delete most of the junk creations laying all over the house! lol😜

yes it is really easy to use. As well as the Pro has a few upgrades such as a sliding dock so you can feed items straight into the machine and a few other upgrades that I think are worth it!!

A few weeks ago I joined up on one of their virtual “Introduction to Glow Forge” classes on RUclips and they mentioned in that class that they are not intending to doing Black Friday sales. They have chosen to do it this current way where you buy with someone’s link and then you both get credit. They said that this price will be the best one through the end of the year at least. It can not cut any metal. It can etch it.

What is the thickest wood it will cut?
About 3/8"
I cut 1/2” acrylic with three pass at 120 speed and full power. Sometimes the second cut will go all the way thru but the third will give it a good polished edge removing the laser drag
Could you use this on leather?
Yes...we have a Glowforge at my local library, and yesterday, they said it can do leather.

How thick of wood can it through?
Glowforge performs well with many materials 1/4" and less on a single pass. It can accommodate material as thick as 1/2", but may require multiple passes or flipping the material over. For engraving, you can remove the tray and insert objects as thick as 2” (50 mm). It can then engrave the surface up to 0.5”, depending on the material.

Sorry but you got to be really desperate to buy this. At first i was interested in this but that 5000$ price tag got me looking at other options and this is what i found. buy a ender 3 3d printer i picked one up for 165$ on black friday last year. then i bought a 45W laser for the ender 3 for 60$ was a kit for my printer now i can laser with a bed size of 220x220 if that is a to small of a build area you could get a CR-10S and have a build area of 300x300 and put the same 45w laser on. BTW a 45W laser (45$ for the laser itself) is the same laser this 5000$ unit uses. LOL....
