I recommend Walgreens if you do digital drawings! I do poster sizes and they come out ACCURATE color wise! But for personal photos they do disappoint sometimes :/
OMG that’s exactly why I came to this video im so glad someone said it. I did a dog talk drawing for my cousins birthday and I would print at FedEx but they’re pricing is way to high and I don’t have the money to print too big 🥺. glad I made my decision but like if you print same day is that the difference it makes like is it because they are printing it on the same day I ordered it that I may come out weird?
@@shayebinnstudios7582 I’ve never tried FedEx. But for Walgreens, I don’t think printing it on the same day would affect the quality wise. I’ve had a digital printing done same day and when I picked it up it was perfect! Also, walgreens has tons of promotions during holidays that you could get a poster size print for much cheaper! I’ve gotten some for really cheap so just keep a look out for it on their website! :)
CVS hands down is the best one. I develop my own 35mm film and scan the negatives and digitize them on an sd card. Walmart’s has a greenish haze to it. The printer just isn’t as good of quality as cvs. Walmart also only printed 3/4 of my image on an 8 by 10 and it cut part of a 4 by 6 off. I have film sent off from Walgreens back when I wasn’t able to develop film yet and they don’t send negatives back so I can’t compare in the house print but the print also to me has a little off color. It could have just been my camera but I think it’s the print. In my opinion Walmart should be a last resort. Also if you have 1 hour prints at cvs with out cropping they look almost perfect. Last night I had 45 4 by 6s printed and 2 8 by 10s and am very happy with the print quality.
Damn, I've always used Walgreens because they are about 5 mins down from my house and they always have some kind of deal or coupon. but I've never been THRILELD with the quality and I just figured it was because I was using a phone camera....Hmm wonder if that makes a difference between them all. What phone do you have?....But I guess getting on a really busy street and driving 10+ mins to CVS may be worth it because those pictures did come out a LOT better....I avoid Walmart as much as I can lol.
Super-helpful, thanks! I wonder if you sent the same photo to three different CVS stores of the results (and ranking vs others) would be completely difference.
Wow, I personally think the CVS photo appears to be washed out. I like the Walgreens one because there is more depth and refinement to the color and edges. Thanks for the review.
Excellent review. Walmart blew it big time. Walmarts reproduction created a purple tint added to your beach picture and someone elses (!!!) pictures. Which means they are probably looking at your pictures right now syaing the same things you are saying. Each vendor did'nt give you exactly what you asked for. The CVS pictures did give you a most exact reproduction though. Thanks for taking the time ,three years ago to go through all this and make this video. CVS it is.
I know I'm late but I just ordered some prints from Walmart and boy was I disappointed! Majority of the pictures were dark and grainy. Going to return them and re order from CVS.
Thank you so much! Love this kind of video i’ve been printing at Walmart because I found that Shutterfly and Walgreens sucks so bad but I haven’t tried cvs! I’m going to!
My local CVS actually oversharpened and over saturated my photos. I suspect it's because most people print from their phones which may lack sharpness and saturation so they boost em
Same. (I printed some today) It looks _exactly_ (on my photos I mean) like they turned on the "Color correction" on their web UI even though I double-checked it was turned off. Looked like crap.
Yup, I had that experience for as long as I used CVS. Never found a work around. I got a Canvas print done that had really bad chromatic aberration that I didn't notice on my original file Pulling back a ton on greens and blues seemed to help get my prints where I wanted them. For the deals they offer on the site and email, it's hard to pass on their prints though @@zephyr1181
CVS cropped your husband's shoulder off and blurred your face. The detail is best in the Wallgreens print and can be seen by the details in the rocks. If Walgreens calibrated their printers they would be the best by far.
Do the photos you ordered have a watermark on the back? because the walmart ones have a mark on the back where it says the time of printing and date, and I would like some photos that don't have that
I think your information is hood but really wordy . Just go to the subject, have the pictures out side by side we trust you! Compare all of them on the same kind of paper. Glossy all of them on glossy. I personally swept my floor while you were talking about where you got the pictures. I like people that just get to the point. Your voice is hood it’s not squeaky. But just have you stuff out, have a piece of paper saying where each came from write the store down put the things to be compared . People you tube because they don’t have time to listen about weddings! But you did a Ho oh d Job.
Thank you so much for doing this side-by-side comparison! I was just looking at these three companies to print my home-made Christmas cards. I was thinking of going with Walgreens because of the cost, but after seeing this, no way! I personally like the crispness of the Walgreens photos. I've used them before. Everyone definitely has different preferences, and the CVS is definitely the way to go if you are looking for a softer look.
Thanks for doing this vid Michelle :)) It's much easier to see the quality & color differences between printers when using the exact same pics. There are so many variables when printing. A lot depends not only on the printing equipment, but the quality of the ink and photo paper. Those machines need calibrated once in awhile and checked for color, brightness, darkness, etc. It was very interesting seeing these side by side. Great Job !!!!! Have a fantastic rest of your week ❤❤❤❤

Am surprised at the huge differences in the pictures! Definitely worth going to CVS those are gorgeous

High-five on avoiding the monopoly, I mean the Walmart. 👍🏼

Literally the exact video I was looking for. So helpful. Thank you!!
Same thank you
I’m late to this but if ANYONE ever buy photos always look through them BEFORE purchasing. So you can ask them right then and there to reprint.
Wow, I personally think the CVS photo appears to be washed out. I like the Walgreens one because there is more depth and refinement to the color and edges. Thanks for the review.
Of course I would watch this after I’m waiting to pick up my banner from Walmart 😩
How did it turn out ?

was cvs better?
I've only done photos at CVS. I didn't know there was a difference.
Amazon delivers prints as well , they just take about 4 to 10 days
Ohhh no way ! I had no idea
The cvs 4x6 cut your boyfriends shoulder off.

Thanks for doing the research and sharing!
Lots of great info!
I agree CVS MUCH BETTER.
Walmart look like Hulk, green. Thanks for sharing. My Walgreen cut 4x6 a little, like if they zoomed it.
How long did the cvs photos take to develop? Was it an hour or a whole day later that you were notified?
Mine were about 20 minutes but came out looking like shit lol

i usually go to walgreens and so far i have not been disappointed
Depends on the cvs location, by me the cvs quality is the worst in the world 🗺️
Thanks much. Great help...CVS for sure
Does anyone know how much the 4x4 is at each of these places
Bogos binted?
