Hey. I always see your posts on Reddit and you gave me the link to your channel a while ago. I just wanted to say: thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I know it’s a lot of work to film and edit videos. I hope you have at least SOME idea of the positive impact you’re making: in reality I think it’s larger than you know.
I’m pursuing a homestead life myself so seeing you do this stuff is inspiring. It makes me feel like I CAN DO IT. I think, for me, that’s the greatest gift of all.
So- again- thank you so much. :)

I agree! These videos have gotten me into growing things again. Now I have planted tomatoes, strawberries, blueberry bushes, zucchini, potatoes, watermelon, corn, and sunflowers. There is probably something I am forgetting :) I got a worm bag for free two days ago and was thinking, "Spicy Moustache would be so excited for me to get all these worms and this bag for free!" :) You are really spreading some great positivity in the world at a time when we need it. I know the videos are A LOT of work, so just wanted to throw another comment here about how impactful they have been for me in California.

Whenever i watch i video from Alessandro, i keep saying to myself why doesn't he have over a mil subs??
I would really love for you to do a review on those black beauty tomatoes. Differences in growing, texture, taste, etc as i haven't seen them before.
Because of this years bad weather, the tomatoes have really suffered this year. I am so glad we put our "spares" into containers as these are the ones producing healthy fruits. Even the ones we put in to transparent bird seed containers from my dad that can't be recycled, using left over crappy clay soil we have been removing from the bedding areas.
The tomato prunings are doing well in the two crate wormeries (now two as the 20 odd i started with this year is now probably 200 and had to find a source of food, whilst we were away besides food scraps). Also, learning why not to put rotten tomatoes in the crates and how to counter act that!
First time growing courgettes and these have done well in containers. I have learnt so much about them this year, so plan to do succession planting next year.
An interesting discovery this month, after watching youtube self sufficiency gardening video. I/ we thought/ assumed that every year we would get conifer saplings that we just would keep pulling out continuously. They weren't conifers. They were/ are Horse and Mare tails!!!
Whilst i have learnt how invasive it is (and also make so much more sense in digging them up), I have also learnt about the health benefits of the plant in moderation.
We have been given some more slabs so are in the process of expanding our 5/6 metre bed another metre or so each way. Not sure how big but about 3 fence panels wide. Going to dig down and remove as much root as we can this time. I don't think we can get a digger in the back garden so it will be all manual.
Millennial Gardener done a video on growing garlic from seed vs bulb and said the seed had better results. I am hoping that i can start them indoors or in pots to give us enough time to get it ready for winter. I want to try inter planting garlic with tomatoes, with a row of marigolds in the front, come next summer.
Oh and that sprouted potato skin i found in the composter. It is now flowering!!
I am about an hour away from you on public transport, if you ever want to drop by and see the layout. My dad keeps wanting me to do DIY and Garden renovation videos on youtube but i am too shy and it's not that great in my books as it mainly due to how we fund the projects. I.e not sourcing the best materials. Our bedding area was initially made from the thick council crazy paving slabs from our patio. Next door have given us some concrete blocks to expand it. It probably won't look pretty in the end but it will hold the soil.
