I really want to learn 3D modelling since years but everytime i start an tutorial i get scared and I'm quckly demotivated... but now i found out about ZBrush Core Mini and after i started the program i draw a few lines with it and instantly fell in love with it :D and now 1h later i still have so much fun playing around with it :) I have the same feelings again i had as a child if i played around with the modeling clay for children (don't know how its called in english ^^). I really can't wait to invest a lot of hours in it :)
Thank you for your simple tutorials on how to use Zbrush. It is so easy to get overwhelmed with this stuff so these videos are great in breaking them down into simple terms.
It is free for non-commercial use. ZBrush Core Mini is really the good option to learn and practice the sculpting before buying the commercial ZBrush software.
Im new to 3d and have a strong photoshop background. Zbrush seems way more intuitative to me (hotkeys, etc) whereas blender felt like I fumbled around more. This is a great little tool just to get introduced to 3d.
Right, mini offers just enough to sculpt for 3d printing hobbyist, also helps set foot with Zbrush with potential to convert into paid version, but other than that, blender is way more functional, especially with its simulation, UV, ringing capabilities vs mini or core. Zbrush should have mini years ago to use its momentum, or focus on building and owning comprehensive marketplace for Zbrush artists to trade their products like Daz did. Blender with each release gets more refined and tuned so it is tough competitor and not only for Zbrush.
@@BlahBlahManYeah keep in mind that applications such as Substance and Zbrush have a high price tag for a reason, despite doing only one thing. blender as a do it all is a great application, but you'll find that it becomes quickly limiting once you go down the rabbit hole of each branch it covers. Basically, a do it all application will not be able to replace dedicated applications.
I been trying to sculpt in blender for a year now and my face sculpts look terrible. Half a day in this software and my stuff is looking like it’s quite the good start. Especially in the nostrils.
That's awesome! been following your channel for some time and now that my drawing tablet arrived you post exactly the video I needed. Talk about timing lol thanks!
I just downloaded this as a free alternative to the full zbrush software! Thanks for your informative content! Does core mini have texture brushes? or is that one of its limitations?
question , how can i get my drawing tablet with pressure sensitive pen to work with zbrush mini ? im using a inspirion key dial kd200 and its just not even registering any interaction , and i have no way to find the configuration settings in zbrush
Half of the things done aren't possible, my version doesn't allow me to zoom out nor blend the model. I used to be able to blend it, however it not no longer allows me and continues to use a random brush instead. Please help if someone sees this!
I’m using Zbrush. The perimeter of my models has jaggies. Ex; the spheres outline has jagged edges. Does yours have this issue ? Is it Zbrush aliasing or my graphics, monitor ? using AMD Rysen Vega 6 graphics and X-Pen 22E Pro tablet.
I have a macbook. When I save my files, a small window comes up; on that window, there is a line that says "where" (save item where). click on it and see where in your finder you want to put it. file:///Users/happyhome/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202020-09-28%20at%207.37.20%20PM.pdf file:///Users/happyhome/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202020-09-28%20at%207.44.02%20PM.png these last 2 files I put are images showing what I am talking about. Copy file...pdf and paste it as a website address to get an image, and do the same thing with file...png to get another image. Good Luck! 😉
I still think this is not enough for a person making full models on daily basis. It's cool for newcommers, because UI is simple, there is limtied amount of tools so software is not as intimidating, when i opened blender after couple years of not using it recently i think i had stroke when i saw all the zippers, selections, options and tools. So yeah i will always prefer Zbrush for sculpting
Don't really see the point of releasing it for people who want to start sculpting if you can't even add geometry to it. If anything, it might just discourage beginners from sculpting on the whole
Alt + Right Click + Let Go to zoom.... my god.. I'm laughing my head off.. I work with a Spaceball Mouse and am flabbergasted what Z brush gives you to manipulate a model... what a complete and utter joke... lol.
Well this is a big letdown. You can't even add new shapes with this version. Don't let looks deceive you. It's simple and the UI is clean because it is stripped of its actual features. This is more like a toy, a very boring toy that no child wants to play with. It has minimal brushes and not the ones necessary for creating an actual sculpture. It's less than a demo. I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up about a 'free' program. 🙄😒
Bless the creator of this simplified UI
lol one of the big benefits here
A trick : watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Gary Leonel Yup, have been using Flixzone for since november myself =)

Hello, Do you speak Spanish? Una pregunta, luego de trabajar tu modelo en este ZBrush core mini puedes imprimirlo?
I think I love you in the most professional way possible
Thank you for your simple tutorials on how to use Zbrush. It is so easy to get overwhelmed with this stuff so these videos are great in breaking them down into simple terms.
I hadn't thought you could do this with the core mini variant but of course. In the end, it depends on your sculpting skills. Nice insights, thanks.
Thank you so much! This is the best tutorial I’ve been able to find
Glad you found it helpful Lemon!

This is Sculptrip for Pixologic. Nothing new feature. Only the interface, but is the same of the same.
I don't know why I like it more than the full Zbrush version
This is great. Started out in Mastercam now trying this
Thanks for this. I grabbed ZBrush Core Mini earlier today and this was a great starter video for me.
i checked - everything is clean
AKA the "Please don't migrate to Blender" edition

@@tehshingen opposite for me
@@BlahBlahManYeah they had sculptris for a long time but not a lot of people knew about it and yeah it wasn't nearly as fully featured as this

Good timing! Lol
This is a perfect stop gap option. I have a zbrush license, but dont want to waste it on my old laptop.
I agree!
Oh wow a clean layout that doesn't give me dyslexia. This is why I always enjoyed Mudbox.
Thank you so much for this.
You're welcome!

I am in school now and working with ZBrush Core 2021 and looking for beginner tutorials.
I'm liking what I'm seeing :)
I thought Zbrush core is just a limited version, not redesigned 🤔
That Mini on the end in important. It’s a different software than Core and it’s free.
@@Follygon oh, mini is Zbrush, not tutorial

Does Zbrush Mini Core have masking tools? I don't find any :(
Impressive! I've never seen something like this before x3💙 Keep it up👌🏻
I have the original Pixelogic Core. Is it the same as mini? And is mini free?
Sir can you please answer how to hollow scupture in zbrushcoremini
Hm? How do I right click move the object?
alt+righ-click, release right click, doesn't seem to zoom anymore. Why would they change this?
What's the difference between Core and a normal 2020 version?
What if our tablet isn’t working?
Can you still use dynamesh sub layers and append new geometry in mini? I don't see the options
Nope, this is a very simple and free version.
Thank u king

3D Boa Hancock please :3
❤️❤️❤️❤️😍 I love your videos✨✨✨🙏🏻
Can u add a reference image?
for some reason the canvas size in my zbrush mini doesn't extend to the edges of the window, any ideas how i can fix this?
Do you need a pen display to work with Zbrush?
I’m using Zbrush. The perimeter of my models has jaggies. Ex; the spheres outline has jagged edges. Does yours have this issue ? Is it Zbrush aliasing or my graphics, monitor ? using AMD Rysen Vega 6 graphics and X-Pen 22E Pro tablet.
Increase the size of your document and activate AA half (anti aliasing)
Follygon Correction, I’m using Zbrushcore. How do I increase the size of my document ?
Another tip, Left Alt lets you move around but right Alt zooms in and out
If i want to animate in, what shall i do? Is it possible to transfer to other programs?
Yep to maya for example
But u will have to make a rig before
slightly off topic question ben: would you recommend the wacom desk arm or the ergo stand for a cintiq 24 pro?
I have an ergo arm and like mine quite a lot
Does Zbrush core work on ipad?
nope
Hi, I noticed when sculpting and hitting shift while sculpting there is a red line with number appearing, what is it for?
Lazy Mouse. I talk more about that in the tutorial on my Gumroad. It helps to smooth your stroke.
Hey!
man i really wish i new how to sculpt evey time i try somthing it just ends up a mess
Sir please upload new video for tutorial for 2021. Some features have been changed I think
Is it available for Linux?
I cant find my saved files. I can only reopen them in Zbrush core mini. help

What is this for when we have full zbrush pipeline.
A free way to try out digital sculpting. Obviously not a replacement to Z.
Can I learn sculpting with a mouse
it doesn't seem to work on windows 7 32(

It Doesn't Work With My Pressure-Sensitive Tablet.

wait what happened to sculptris
hmmm but how to erase/????
i looked up how to make kq jojo in blender...
8 brushes is all core mini have? thats ridiculous.. will keep using blender for ever

I made a horse model in that program there and when i was gonna get it the day after the file was just broken and i lost 4 hours of work
is there no just.. eraser? i cant push something into oblivion lol
hair?

in normal version you can easily put hotkeys on zoom (even though lot of people don't for some reason), so scroll wheel all the way
Ctrl + right mouse work as well
