I have been using my Mijello Mission Gold 36 tube set (it came with a big palette) for over a year now. I love the vibrancy and clarity of the colours and they mix well with each other (wet on the palette). They are my go to studio paints and I love the range of colours in the set. I wish I had gotten to know them a lot better before I bought other colours just because they looked beautiful on screen. After I got the paints I realised that my Mijello set already has the colours or colours extremely close, just called by a different name! E.g. Dragons Blood by Maimeri is very close to Mijello’s Red Brown. Roman Szmal’s Perm Aliz Crimson is the same pigment as Mijello’s Rose Madder, and Roman Szmal’s Green Gold is also super close to Mijello’s Greenish Yellow (only 1 of 3 pigments in both is different). I could have saved some money if I’ve done a pigment comparison before buying new paints.😊

So many youtuber's have reviewed this set , had really nice things to say about it yet i've haven't seen any actually integrate more then one tube in their everyday palette . wich is kind of a red flag for me . the few that have actualy completed a piece with it stated they're so pigmented and bright that it's hard to achieve realism with it .
even though in Europe the set is twice the american price , i still wonder if it's worth it or not for me , i guess i'll have to try for myself . sorry i'm kinda "thinking out loud " here .

No, that's great - I really appreciate your thoughts! Primarily these are for mixing, including with other paints I already own, so I don't really have the intention of using them as is. I'll definitely share any paintings I do with them. I've come up with some stunning mixes so far.

I love mijello paint 🥰🥰 they are trylt vibrant so it's nice to have a single pigmen set to play and create your own mixes, and I adore their cobalt turquoise 😍

Found this enthralling. I've been drawn to Mijello because of its vibrancy, but have been somehow suspicious of the brand. (What does that even mean? That I suspect in the dark of night Mijello will threaten my Roman Szmal with palette knives until he hands over all his pans??) This set might just become my Christmas present to me. Now to learn to swatch dreamy colored moons like yours! Your swatches so often have a 3D effect that eludes me.
Haha! Love your comment as always! Those dodgy Mijellos... I've been playing with them more this evening, and after being interested to hear that some people think they're *too* vibrant and unnatural, I really enjoyed them, and so far have done a quite muted, subtle landscape.
I know it’s been a while since you published this video but it has been such an important reference for me when buying this set! It gave me a very good look into the colors and cleared my confusions about some of them (Viridian, Cerulean Blue, etc).
I’m back here after buying it and I’m super grateful to you for sharing this with all of us and for doing what you’re doing ❤

The problem is have with making a video like that would be that I favour some other brands' colours over some of these, but mainly because I was using them first and like them, and not necessarily because MMG are not as good. I absolutely love the MMG paints still though, and numerous of them make it into my travel palettes frequently. I've not been disappointed with the set at all, and still heartily recommend it.

Loved the swatching session, found it very useful since I have this set also. It was my last purchase in 2022 before my low-buy began and I haven’t gotten around to playing with them yet. I think when I purchased them, they were $120 Cdn before tax and I was pretty pleased to get them for that price. Looking forward to your colour mixing session!

I like colour too, but, don’t really know what to do with it except enjoy & wallow in them. Doesn’t necessarily make me an artist, I also like paper, pencils & all arty crafty things. Like your swatches. I looked at M. palette of paints, a lot cheaper than your set. Thanks

I bought the whole set after all the hype and wish I had not done so. In my opinion these paints are student grade.
Oh that's interesting! I haven't heard any of the hype, so didn't really know what to expect. In what ways do you feel like they're student grade?
