  • Here is a different kind of video.
Many people are curious to find the ragas for different songs. While there are many ways to do this, knowing the correct sequence of notes for each raga could help a lot when you are trying to match the sounds.
In this video, I have recorded the arohanam and avarohanams for 10 ragas.
    1. Nattai
    2. Hamsadwani
    3.Kalyani
    4.Abogi
    5. Gaulai
    6. Mohanam
    7. Hindolam
    8. Bahudari
    9. Kamboji
    10. Sri
Practice singing it along with me to get a better hold of the ragam in your mind.
    Happy singing!

Hello my beautiful music lovers! Just wanted to point out an error in the video notation. Nattai is Arohanam: S R3 G3 M1 P N3 S
    Avarohanam: S N3 P. M1 G3 M1 R3 S and not N2 as shown. Hope you enjoy this video.

Wonderful rendering. The way you had conceived it for presentation is brilliant. I personally liked that way you sang S and P for several ragas to bring the shade of the raga rather than just rendering it plain. In fact every Gamaka was judiciously rendered with so much bhava. We expect another 10 ragas soon.👏👏👏👏🙏

Teacher, this kind of singing method can improvise a basic student to understand the connectivity of each swarams and how to sing. Thank you

While the effort is to be appreciated, care has to be taken to give correct swaras in scale of ragas. Too many mistakes are there. Please correct the same. Otherwise it will mislead the students.
