Rock n' Roll Racing [1993] Sega Genesis vs SNES vs GBA (Version Comparison)
Rock n' Roll Racing - vehicular combat-based racing video game developed by Silicon & Synapse (now known as Blizzard Entertainment) and published by Interplay Productions for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993 and the Mega Drive/Genesis in 1994. The game prominently features a number of popular heavy metal and rock songs in its soundtrack, hence the game's title. The game was ported to the Game Boy Advance in 2003. In celebration of the company's 30th anniversary, Rock n' Roll Racing was re-released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of the Blizzard Arcade Collection in February 2021.
Rock n' Roll Racing was initially developed as RPMII, a sequel to the company's SNES game RPM Racing. At the end of the project, Interplay marketing added licensed music and changed the name to Rock n' Roll Racing. It is also similar in gameplay to Racing Destruction Set where it got its logic/AI engine and the NES game R.C. Pro-Am developed by Rare in 1988. - Игры
This is EXACTLY what i was looking for.
First, I love your comparison ❤️
Thanks!
I prefer the snes version. But the genesis version have some cool things.
Все версии хороши по-своему.
I prefer the snes version due to the better sound. What cool things has the genesis to offer? coudnt see it / hear
I don't know, I like the sort of... "Broken style", for lack of a better word, that you get in the Sega Genesis.@@Fuartianer
@@Fuartianerit added, like another 20 tracks and a new song… that the gba didn’t get
@@Fuartianer Genesis have full screen and you see more of a track. SNES is zoomed in, and you can see shit in front of you. And dunno about sound, coz SNES version sounds muzzled, like it's in a tube or something.
For a game titled "Rock n Roll Racing" where music is very important, the Genesis-version sounds almost intolerable for my ears. Too sharp, too scratchy, too artificial. SNES music is sounding muddy as usual, but waaaay more enoyable, so SNES clearly wins this one for me.
Dont know the GBA-verson personally, but judging from this video, it seems somewhere in between sound-wise.
Agreed
Sega version sucks, if The game only release for Sega console Will be one more normal game.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
