I love when people do things in passion and honesty. That’s what we got from Patti on the stage: passion, honesty, and truth through that voice and stage presence.
What's funny is my first boyfriend used to listen to Patti LaBelle. This was back in 1988. I used to go over to his house to listen to her. He died ten years ago. His name was Rob Perritt. I used to laugh about his last name. I remember walking down the dirt road from his house in the middle of the night. I held his hand. We made hamburger patties on his grill. This was my first and only boyfriend.

I saw here once ( I think it was 2010) in Oakland California & let me tell you! This woman can sing like NO ONE ON EARTH!!! She sang for two hours straight & people screamed so loud that she came back and sang for another 30-45 minutes!!!! It was pure heart & soul & everyone was on their feet FEELING THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! It was an experience I will never ever forget (& have never experienced again).
That is definitely a Patti LaBelle concert, I have been to four of them and you haven't lied one bit.
