After getting a video request by one of our lovely patrons (link above), I am finally covering the Harrow is in Pip theory that's been around since the first season of the Dragon Prince aired on Netflix. And this is the perfect time to finally talk about it, as we are in the middle of what will be a super long hiatus until Wonderstorm announces a date for the release of Season 4! While there hasn't been any new in-show evidence for this theory since Pip's escape in season 2, the Book One: Moon novel gave us a lot of insight into Viren's thoughts during his final encounter with Harrow.
And speaking of Viren, I also have an update for you guys regarding who is in the rest of the coins we saw in Viren's possession. But there is one coin that remains an unknown- but I do have a theory about that as well! Watch the video and let me know your thoughts in the comments section!

Part of me doesn't care the creators tried to debunk this theory. "Harrow is Pip" theory still sounds true to me. If they didn't want the soulfang to be a big deal, or at least, a "Chekov's gun" , then they should not have made it a big deal to begin with.
I know that the creators have said Harrow is really dead, but even if Harrow's soul isn't in Pip, SOMETHING significant has to have happened that night. Otherwise, the way that those first few episodes were written just doesn't make sense. Why would they not show Harrow in his final moments if they weren't waiting to reveal something about him later? And I agree, Viren's perspective in the book also definitely suggests something fishy happened.
i did think viren used the serpent but never thought of the angle that he might have infected himself by doing so. im not sure what happened but now that you said it i see him from a different perspective. he was a more loving guy before that moment. something happened there and i cant wait to find out what

I have no idea why people still believe this theory, creators said that Harrow is dead, i thought it was enough to end all speculations
You realize that the person who made this video is also the one who reported what was said at sdcc 2019? She discusses that fact in detail here, and how it could be literally true but intentionally misleading. The fact remains that Viren did perform something related to Dark Magic while meeting with Harrow. What that something is remains to be revealed, and I’m honestly surprised that so few people are curious about that.

I figured this out the moment we saw the snake with the soul-swapping ability and the bird was still alive and siren was all "Oh, what you won't sing now?"

Looked it up recently, it appears this is one of the many shows that has either been postponed or halted completely until a structure is in place due to COVID. Many articles say different things, but I don't think the next season will have a date until at least spring of '21, maybe even later.

His dark Materials (The Golden Compass series) is releasing season 2 now slowly, one episode every Sunday until the end of December but I presume they were pre-recorded and we'll have to wait another year for season 3 due to covid.
now if only idiots would wear a mask, social distance when outside, and not gather in huge-ass groups....then we could get over this faster.

This was actually one of the first theories I’ve ever had
I honestly don't think raylas family will return in season 4 . Through the moon will basically lead into rayla discovering the truth of her families fate. I could see viren revealing the truth as rayla will try to kill him as a trick to save his life. But even if raylas family returns we shouldn't consider it as a happy reunion. Rayla and her parents are still ghosted so unless someone tell the truth they still would be outcasts. And let's not forget that runaan is still binded so he still would want to kill ezran
wouldn't zym remove the binding like he did for Rayla? I'm sure he would be willing
I dislike the theory that Rayla will get coined, I would prefer to see Viren FALL hard in Volume 2, like the main motivation he had in S1 is gone now that humanity and elfkind are set on a path to peace, and he was clearly shocked by seeing Claudia delve so deeply into Dark Magic... I want to see him work through his wrongs, accept that he was wrong, and be willing to accept punishment in Volume 2.
That would be a big turn in character. i don't think it would suit him.
His character has been fluctuating tbh. Sometimes (mostly in flashbacks) he seems to care about humanity. Now it seems more like he wants power
@@purplespark8 It was more than power, every action he's taken so far (except maybe some of the actions in the very last episode of S3, when he was being puppeted by Aaravos) he has always justified by saying he's been doing it for humanity. With how things are presumably going to be now, he has no reason to continue that path.
Judging by the fact that he looks like a hermit in rags in the teaser where he turns to stone, I think this volume will be the start of his redemption arc and Claudia falling to Aaravos’ manipulation. As you said, he’s lost his justification for wrongdoing and much of his purpose in life. He is of no longer use to Aaravos now that he has a new body growing in the cocoon. He might even turn Viren to stone at some point and promise Claudia a way to reverse it if she helps him. The three’s relationship is similar to that between Palpatine, Dooku, and Anakin, with Viren being set up to be the old apprentice thrown away in favor of the dynamic new apprentice in Claudia.

I believe this theory. Since Book 1, we don't know nothing Pip (or Harrow) or his whereabouts. I have a lot of questions regarding about that eagle. Is Harrow following his sons? Managed to hide?

Here's my counter theory:
After Queen Sarai was killed, King Harrow began asking himself if there had been another way to avert that famine, this lead him to researching primal magic and learning about Aavaros's Key, and it occurred to him the Calumn's remarkable gift as an artist might enable him to master primal magic and teach it to other humans. When Harrow killed Thunder, he saw another father's heart braking and it brock his own heart. Later on Esra found the Dragon Prince's egg and told his father, and Harrow began to toy with the idea of Esra hatching the egg and raising the little dragon. When Harrow was told about the moon shadow elves, he realized that the only way that guard could have survived to make his report is if one of the assassins and let him live, and he began to hope that his son and stepson would be able to find a new path for humanity to follow, and saw his own death as a price that he would gladly pay. He arranged for the princes to be sent to safety and gave Calumn a letter outlining his hope which including mention of Aavaros's key. The second time Viren came to offer him a way out, Harrow let slip his hopes for the future and Viren felt that vision threatened his position. He abandoned his efforts to "save his king" and began plans to kill the princes.
Where Pip comes into this is that he was a witness to Harrow's and Viren's last conversation and was the one Harrow confided things he would tell no one else.

I had a theory that the soul fang had a soul inside of it from the beginning or that pip soul was snatched by the serpent so what happened is that when viren accidentally got bit along with pip making him viren and why he was so into becoming king, or that the soul fang and the other soul bit viren and the remaining soul in it got switched with virens, leaving him into the soul fang or him being pip, that's how we can still have Harrow dead but pip on the run
So when viren said to pip "oh you won't sing now" I think it was viren or pip being extremely scared

Instead of king Harrow being switched with the soul fang it's viren and pip or viren and the former soul inside of the soul fang
So when the creators say Harrow is dead they really mean he is dead
But pip and viren are the ones who switched souls, at least that's what I think it might be very false tbh and I would want viren to get punished for his crimes

No we don't. Some say after the new tales of xadia game is released but we can safe say the show will return next year. However we could still get an announcement since Netflix announced a lot of shows since October
I think it would be irresponsible of them to keep harrow alive because the main theme of dragon prince is that there are consequences for your actions. Harrow made a bad move and faced his punishment and dignity while viren look for every way for him to shirk his punishment. Viren is not 100% evil he just thinks he can avoid consequences forever so he tries to do that'd when he does his problems snowball and end up for and finally he is trapped in a cycle of shirking responsibility and his problems growing

Perhaps it would be fitting in the end if Aaravos is defeated and killed, and Viren is put in the magic mirror instead to become the new "Aaravos"!
Unless they destroy the mirror, that only leaves the possibility of the cycle continuing again with someone being tempted by the mirror.

So we dropped Netflix over their new habit of using child exploitation to tell people not to exploit children. So I'll need someone on the internet to provide us with new Dragon Prince seasons when they drop, so I don't have to go back to Pedoflix for the rest of the story.
