Little Owl, I just gotta say, as someone with High Functioning Autism, I absolutely enjoy this video. It will go a long way in educating folks about autism. It makes them relate to Bruno so well, and I feel like I can relate to all of them too. Please make more stories like this. I want folks with special needs to be well represented in the Thomas and Friends Fandom, and Bruno is the perfect character to do it.
This adaptation is not only relatable, but it has so much heart and passion. I'm proud of you buddy! Thank you for having me film this wonderful project!
Now that I think about it, it does make some sense that Edward would have autism. That probably explains why he never stood up for himself when he was being bullied in the first few books. Nice rewrite of Bruno’s character!
Bruno was always one of my favorites in all engines go. He always felt so relatable to me. Even Edward was also relatable I never knew the reason why until now.
I love the fact that Edward has High Functioning Autism! Knowing Edward’s maturity, comparing them to the other engines like James, Gordon and Henry or how he taught Thomas. just perfect!
As someone with autism and other neurodivergent tendencies, I loved this story! Bruno is treated with respect, and it shows his strengths and struggles in a positive light! Amazing work here!
Really great job Jack! This is definitely one of the most passionately made Thomas videos I've seen - I can tell you put a lot of thought and heart into writing Bruno and Edward. I've never seen any episodes of All Engines Go, so this is my first time watching a story about Bruno - and I think you and the team did an amazing job! Loved the conversation with Bruno and Edward, their montage together, and laughed out loud at James' "WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO MEEE!" Lovely footage from Aaron, great narration from Liz - all around a really solid job! Well done to all involved! :)
This Rewritten character episode taught me new things How Breakvans are one of the most important things on the railway How much James has grown as Character of him knowing we was gonna derail How Edward has some signs of Autism and how much he’s grown Outstanding job!
The writing and character focus are on point, the visuals are smooth, the pacing is fantastic, all of it is fantastic! Being someone who has the same issues as Bruno and even some similar experiences, this was very relatable and gripping! You all absolutely nailed this! It’s amazing seeing how well it’s doing already! Thanks for having me on as Bruno! ❤
Such a wholesome story! I love the fact the last few trucks were like “hey…Something isn’t right…” and decided to stop. Edward having autism is something I didn’t expect but hey, I like that idea! It kinda gives a better understanding of the term “Shy Steamer” and why the FR wasn’t interested in keeping Edward I don’t know what that means to be honest…Like, poor steaming issues for steam engines?…Anyway, you get what I’m trying to say Great video!

An excellent story! While I never go near All Engines Go, I do like the idea of Bruno as a character with Autism despite me never watching him in the show cause of the animation. For most of us fans who are also on the spectrum, we can easily relate to most things Bruno had endured, especially for how we are often affected by others that don't know anything. The main priority about being on the spectrum is that we are very well detailed on many key aspects that we are passionate about and know many facts. Also, seeing him paired up with Edward is really nice, and I like the idea of the old blue engine being Autistic too (we can interpret any other existing character in our different AUs w/ that kind of diagnose like Henry, Duck, Murdoch, etc.).

Thank you so much for the rewrite! 😢😭 I was never a big fan of All Engines Go, but the fact they've created an autistic character and he was voiced by an autistic kid actor was pretty heart warming, it makes me wonder how they've never tackled an autistic character in the original series, the last autistic character we had before Bruno was Theo in Journey Beyond Sodor. And as a kid, I always thought Percy was meant to be the representation of autism. And to learn that Edward, himself is autistic was so mind boggling yet so satisfying 😳 As an autistic individual myself, I can relate to Bruno A LOT! I think it was clever how you had James be the one to interact with him instead of Diesel like in the actual show. Seeing Bruno cry made me want to cry, as I've been in his position similar to that. It really angers me with the majority of mainstream people always criticises us autistic people before they can even be bothered to understand us completely. I really love how very compassionate and understanding Edward, Sir Topham Hatt and even the Troublesome Trucks were to Bruno, James definitely had it coming. 😡😡😡 Edward was always a great character, but this story made me appreciate him a lot more. Awesome work 💯💯
This rewrite is just wonderful to watch. Bruno is such a good character, his original intro in the reboot was fine as best, but this rewrite is just amazing.

I haven't seen the new Thomas series, but this is a fantastic rewrite. I love the episode's theme of self-acceptance, adaptability, and patience, the music, and atmosphere. I saw KacperB12's "We Don't Leave Behind Bruno," and this story shares the same brilliance. I was utterly surprised by Edward's autism in this episode. This is a fantastic, heartfelt, and relatable story about Bruno and his autism, as I am autistic myself.
I was taken aback of how the TRUCKS of all characters stopped the runaway themselves even after causing it! And I can see Bruno's and James's sides here, I can really relate with Edward here, this fan episode just hit different in the *Best* way possible
As autistic, This is why Bruno is among our special characters of the Thomas franchise. Same as Theo, the first character who was autistic engine. I felt sometimes, “Un-special” Once, last year. it’s a tragic story about that I haven’t make any friends, since High school, “normal” classmates treated me indifferently, didn’t felt interested me, sat alone on a cafeteria, when I loss my temper, I was sent home, and my mom did at first caring for my breakdown after I was emotionally fed up. And you know. That’s why I felt functionally high and intelligent. At least the episode-related disability could be helped to between sympathetic, advise, and define of empathy to people’s “special” abilities.🌟
That was a wonderful story. Bruno was feeling upset with what happened on his first trip out. James was selfish not to take Bruno's feelings into consideration. But I was amazed how Edward helped Bruno out with his problem. What an amazing rewrite for this character 😀.
This rewritten version of Bruno really reminds me of myself...I love this version of him. Same for Edward. In my thoughts, I think Thomas would be an autistic engine as well. I may have mixed feeling towards AEG, but this one really fixed his character a lot better than what Mattel is actually doing with him, just making an autistic brakevan to just simply market him as autistic is pretty jarring to me as a whole. But, this actually fixed him way better than Mattel's official work.
Words cannot describe on how much I love the story. I’m so glad there wasn’t a moment where Bruno stops a runaway train because I think that would be rather cliché so it’s so refreshing to just see him getting help. I can see myself in his position so much and I’m sure others with Autism can too. Everyone here did an amazing job I can’t praise this enough.
Why did I not see this? This is Thomas Gold! I loved this. The animation, the music, the voice acting, but most importantly, the plot was the fucking pinnacle like t1e2h3 Thomas wooden railway adventures the buried truck level quality. Consider me a new subscriber!
As someone who is autistic, I love this rewrite. It was really relatable and wholesome, that it nearly had me in tears. It felt like it was written from the original series, and I love it.
I loved this story in Thomas Reborn and I love it here as well. The Trainz filming is fantastic, the voiceover work is great and of course the story is powerful and heartfelt. Very well done my friend ☺️🚂🚃
Dude, this made me start tearing up. I'm also autistic so i struggled throughout my whole life. I just graduated high school recently, but only by the skin of my teeth. I always needed extra help, and i still do to this day. I've always had trouble figuring out my place in the world and who i an, I'm not even sure what my future will look like. This is the perfect autism awareness video right here!
@@TankEngineFan5 Stay strong dude! I was in your position when I finished High School myself (or secondary school myself). I am now going into my final year of University and being able to make a project like this feels so full circle for me. As Edward said “you will find your place with time”

as someone who has suffered with ASD for most of my life this is a very heart touching story, even my mum loved watching this! brilliant story and love how people can learn from Edward how not just autism but any condition anyone may have, we can still keep going and nothing can hold us back! Bluddy fantastic!
This was just wow... I even teared up a bit at the ending... THANK YOU for making such an awesome story, and amazing job to everyone who played a part in this project.
This is absolutely fantastic. While I don't watch the All Engines Go reboot, but after watching this for the first time, I almost felt a little teary-eyed at the end. I love the moment with Edward and Bruno and I love the use of Hummie Mann's Magic Railroad score in that. I'm on the autism spectrum myself and just like Bruno who I can definitely relate to, I felt I always needed extra guidance in life and I sometimes struggle with autism and with who I am. And what's the name of the music at 16:52 to 18:47? Because whatever that music is, it's so beautiful as I was moved by the music and nearly made me cry.
That is exactly what should have been like if "Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go" never existed while "Thomas and Friends" (Still the 60FPS Clay-Faced Model Series I miss and still waiting to return starting with the upcoming Thomas and Friends Movie) still exists today where Bruno would join Sir Topham Hatt's railway. Splendid Job especially where your narration is fantastic Liz. 1000/1000
Love it! My spectrum homies! As someone on the spectrum myself I can relate to Bruno a ton. And Edward! 5:40- 5:56 is EXACTLY what the beginning of a meltdown feels like.
As someone with Autism, I fricking loved this. This was just wonderful. This is like the ONLY time a Trainz Thomas story made me cry. Happy tears. Thanks! 🥲👍
to be honest I think the only 2 characters from All Engines Go! (not the rewrite version) that stick out for the right reasons are Salty and Bruno and here's why: 1. Bruno (Bruno's reason: he handles Autism... but way better than a certain movie by Zia) 2. Salty the dockside Diesel (reasons: his old personality from seasons 6 to 24 is kept, they got Scott McCord for the US dub and Guy Harris for the UK and yet both were already famous, and his sea shanty song is a clever parody of the classic wellerman song)
7:35 That... deep hurt. Deep shame at not doing what you're meant to do, even when it seems obvious, even when it's the easiest thing in the world and yet you just freeze, not doing _anything_ (even blinking, breathing). I can feel that, deep in my heart. The fear of not being able to explain what happened, when you don't even understand it yourself. And then having everyone pile onto you with exasperation at how you didn't do anything, were just 'lazy' or stupid, not moving or doign what you were supposed to. It... it really hurts. I can feel the fear and James is just on-screen, talking to someone else. But I can feel that, in my heart. This is a great representation and true to heart ❤
When I first saw this I already knew this was gonna be good. And, holy smokes, this wasn’t just good or great, this is amazing! Bruno feels like an actual character now. In short, well done.
This is beautiful with the two of my favorite characters what does Edward and James they are perfectly portrayed I love the rewrite that you gave to Bruno
How is James in the wrong? No, genuinely, how? He saw a piece of rolling stock he had never seen before introduce himself as a brake van for any kind of train. So, James added this newcomer to his long train. When he was well down the line, the trucks played their tricks, and James, expecting his van to control them, was shocked that he didn’t. He has had accidents because brake vans didn’t do their job, so this is just par for the course as far as he’s concerned. Just because Bruno is autistic doesn’t mean he’s just allowed to shirk his responsibilities when the goings get tough. And I’m on the spectrum too and have experience with the good and the bad for how I’ve been treated. I get that Edward giving him space is seen as the right thing to do, but James wasn’t told he had to be gentle, he was too oblivious and focused on his own job to realize Bruno couldn’t do it, for all intents and purposes, James wasn’t in the wrong as far as I can tell. So, could someone please tell me why he should be treated as though he is?
@@szfof8134 The way I see it there isn’t necessarily a right and wrong here. I know I characterised James rather antagonistically here, but you are right, James was doing his job and he responded how he felt was right, shouting at Bruno was just his way of venting frustration at having nearly crashed, I mean it can’t be a fun experience can it. It was James’ comment about Bruno being “faulty” was the thing that put him in the wrong and he did apologise afterwards. Everyone’s autism affects them differently, hell everyone has it in one way or another and there are different things that affect people or engines in this case differently, James made a thoughtless comment but he was angry, Bruno was sensitive to his shouting and The Fat Controller feels passionate about it, there’s no right and wrong here, only perspective. Also TFC did not actively punish James, he just said he would speak to him albeit in a slightly aggressive way. One final thing is that Bruno was not necessarily hurt by the word itself, it was The Fat Controller who reacted to the comment, Bruno just closed his eyes as he didn’t like The Fat Controller raising his voice
@@LittleOwl2003 I see, if that’s the case I can see where you’re coming from. A healthier way of dealing with his frustration that isn’t insulting others may be warranted on James’ part when it comes to the modern day. Still a fair reaction from him, but the perspective makes sense for each character. Thank you for the note
@@szfof8134 I’m gonna be honest you’ve actually inspired me to do a side story for this from James’ perspective, maybe showing James and TFC conversation
I now can’t think of Edward without thinking he has autism And I love that . Considering I have it too. Tho for myself my personal favourite character is Toby for having his small box like shape . Tho his oddity’s never stop him from being the best team on the NWR fleet Tho I may prefer toby . Duck is a close second and I think he himself has autism too. I believe quite a few of the Thomas characters are on the spectrum and that’s great considering the classic tv show catered towards that audience . And look at me now . I know how to drive pannier tanks and can just about clean a truck or dust a coach . I have never felt better I myself love life and wouldn’t want it any other way . And seeing Bruno and watching his aeg episode … I bought one instantly in dicast metal . And now seeing him in a classic styled episode is wow Amazing work this is it’s just WOW

Amazing adaptation! I can relate to Bruno and Edward, but more-so Edward, and I love their dynamic! So wholesome! Keep it up!
The voice Sir Topham hat in this really suits his personality and has a very Paul frees like gentle voice
Love the ending, very well done mate. 😊
It's nice to here that Sir Stephen Topham Hatt has an understanding of Bruno through experience
As someone who is autistic, I love this rewrite. It was really relatable and wholesome, that it nearly had me in tears. It felt like it was written from the original series, and I love it.
Holy crap, this hits way too close to home for me with how much I relate to this
this is so good, keep up the good work
this is a amazing story of bruno awesome work
I loved this story in Thomas Reborn and I love it here as well. The Trainz filming is fantastic, the voiceover work is great and of course the story is powerful and heartfelt. Very well done my friend ☺️🚂🚃
@@TheGingerEngine I love how I can still Lord over Thomas the fact that you ranked the story that I wrote number 1 on your Reborn Series 2 review XD
@@LittleOwl2003 I have to be honest in my reviews my friend and he knows that 😜
Glad to see you're doing well. Hopefully we can catch up soon ☺️🚂🚃
@@TheGingerEngine Definitely man!
love this story....i didn't expect edward to be on the spectrum
Nice, I give this a 10/10, Great job!
Awesome Job Also I Love James The Red Engine And Edward The Blue Engine He’s One Of My Favorite Characters
Its genuinely awsome to see trucks show compassion
Lovely watch Edward on the spectrum was a good surprise.
When we never heard about this about Edward being autistic
This was a very nice watch, amazing job with the story and voice acting. Really good moral of this video great work 👍👏
Dude, this made me start tearing up.
As Edward said “you will find your place with time”
@@LittleOwl2003congratulations on your final year of college! You deserve all the success and college education can get you. You make me and everyone else on the spectrum proud!
This is somewhat relatable for me, but not ENTIRELY. But people understood my hard work and dedication for working hard
I love it! Thank you for sharing with us and showing us this touching moment! You have my respect, my friend! Thank you!
This was amazing Thank you for letting me be apart off this! i cant tell you how good this is its that dame good! keep it up Jack!
this made me cry, I thank you so much for this masterpiece... the only thing I could think of by the end was, what a beautiful story, absolutely wonderful, but I wish real life was the same 😭😭😭 and yeah, I have autism too
This is honestly great, well done!!!
Got to admit, i teared up a bit during this... that reveal with edward was so sweet and i honestly relate to him alot... very good video!!!
This is so nice! I loved!
as someone who has suffered with ASD for most of my life this is a very heart touching story, even my mum loved watching this! brilliant story and love how people can learn from Edward how not just autism but any condition anyone may have, we can still keep going and nothing can hold us back! Bluddy fantastic!
I love the Bruno and Edward
I had no idea that was was autistic
It was interesting
@@jackrlmiller It’s a Royalty Free piece by jlouvier
@@LittleOwl2003 What's the name of the piece from Royalty Free?
@@jackrlmiller I don’t know
This is well done. I felt represented for it, since I first was diagnosed autism around the age of 4. That was almost 20 years ago.
This is a beautiful and heartwarming adaptation 🥹
Love it! My spectrum homies! As someone on the spectrum myself I can relate to Bruno a ton. And Edward! 5:40- 5:56 is EXACTLY what the beginning of a meltdown feels like.
Thank you for such an aspiring video, I have asd
I struggle to sometimes cope with work
But my passion for railways has always helped me cope
As someone with Autism, I fricking loved this. This was just wonderful. This is like the ONLY time a Trainz Thomas story made me cry. Happy tears. Thanks! 🥲👍
5:08 That is a good question, James.
Well done little owl brilliant story
to be honest I think the only 2 characters from All Engines Go! (not the rewrite version) that stick out for the right reasons are Salty and Bruno and here's why:
1. Bruno (Bruno's reason: he handles Autism... but way better than a certain movie by Zia)
2. Salty the dockside Diesel (reasons: his old personality from seasons 6 to 24 is kept, they got Scott McCord for the US dub and Guy Harris for the UK and yet both were already famous, and his sea shanty song is a clever parody of the classic wellerman song)
I always imagined Bruno being Rosie’s brakevan but him being Edward’s brakevan works too
7:35 That...
@@thevampiregirl7529 Great to see someone looking deeper into my stories! Thanks so much!
Hi little owl what a fantastic portrait this is done so brilliantly it helps me understand more about my autism thank you so very little owl 😊😊❤❤
@@christopherparker3057 Not everybody has the same level or type of Autism as Bruno, but with a bit of self faith you will find yourself
This is just amazing I loved every single bit of this!
When I first saw this I already knew this was gonna be good. And, holy smokes, this wasn’t just good or great, this is amazing! Bruno feels like an actual character now. In short, well done.
This was a work Of art you are a true artist!
This is beautiful with the two of my favorite characters what does Edward and James they are perfectly portrayed I love the rewrite that you gave to Bruno
I'm not going to edit my comment talking about autism and there might be a chance that I have it and it doesn't affect me not much like Edward
11:58 WAIT WHAT?!
Plot twist on Edward moment.
But honestly... I like the concept.
THIS is how you make HiT era Edward be part of his character in the classic series. And it WORKS SO WELL
As someone with autism, I love this 💙
As Autistic Person
This Was Super Relatable
And overall the story was super well done
Great Job 👍🏻
Amazing work.. this makes a fantastic story of Bruno
Congrats and great work on this rewrite for bringing it up to the standard that Audrey and even britt did.
0:05 Best part of the episode with the song choice.
Btw, Great Episode. As someone with AuDHD I can definitely relate to Bruno. ^.=.^
@@aeviarth-the-dragoness A lot of Traits with Autism and ADHD overlap so it’s nice to see someone relate
DUDE I LOVE THIS THIS IS AMAZING
I personally love this episode and it comforts me in some way
Nicely done!
When I tell you I actually cried I mean it. As a person with autism this really hit home for me. Lovely work!
I agree with that, some people just view it differently. It’s easier to punish the red engine 😂
Oh? Now that does sound very interesting indeed. If you find the time then I imagine it will be a nice addition.
This is a Excellent Story, Awesome Job on That.
I love Edward taking in Bruno almost like a father
I just had the biggest smile towards the end of the story!! Truly the best story about Bruno!!
I now can’t think of Edward without thinking he has autism
And I love that . Considering I have it too.
Tho for myself my personal favourite character is Toby for having his small box like shape . Tho his oddity’s never stop him from being the best team on the NWR fleet
Tho I may prefer toby . Duck is a close second and I think he himself has autism too.
I believe quite a few of the Thomas characters are on the spectrum and that’s great considering the classic tv show catered towards that audience .
And look at me now . I know how to drive pannier tanks and can just about clean a truck or dust a coach . I have never felt better
I myself love life and wouldn’t want it any other way . And seeing Bruno and watching his aeg episode … I bought one instantly in dicast metal . And now seeing him in a classic styled episode is wow
Amazing work this is it’s just WOW
