I did 3 years before applying for an arv course, came close but didn't secure a place on the course that time. They didn't open applications for another 2 years after that. I fortunately got a place and then passed the 12 week course. It's demanding and rightly so. People seem to be in a rush to be honest, I probably did after 3 years. I joined at 30, passed course at 35/36 and I'm now still qualified at 48. Not getting any easier 😂
If i join the army for 3-5 years, then join the police (hoping to join the armed forces CTSFO), will i do the same amount of time in the normal (unarmed) police as someone who hadn't joined the army before hand? Im not sure if having previous training with firearms will shorten the time for me to start working as an armed officer rather

Cheers mate
I want to know how does the corruption part of your job work?
There's 2 forces you can join where your an afo from the beginning, the MDP and CNC. Although you won't get much police action with the CNC.
You won't get any with MDP either.
@@muddyfunker3014 depends on units with mdp, some are very active policing compared to the cnc.

I transferred to MDP, very quiet at my location.
I'm sure at others the hosting force is more willing to have help from MDP.
Thank you 🫡
Thought it was Shane McGowan.

Yes you won't get any fast track or special treatment, at least 2 years probation before you can apply for specialisms.
@@themaninblack8271 Oh okay, thanks 👍
