This level i hated ALOT on 00 agent. If you didn't get killed, it was the freaking radio getting blown up because of a stray bullet hitting the drums or some idiot guard had a grenade and misthrew it (I've had that happen before, it was my WTF moment)
I can tell you know what you’re taking about I was 11 years of age when I owned this game in 1997-1998 ..., (Note: I’m 31 now) ..., I had the same issues on this level & this 1 , the Level before this 1 , & the Aztec prevented me from unlocking the Egyptian stage 🤦🏾♂️

GreenFenril Same here. But here's a tip, when you enter that room, go to the far left, kill the AR33 guard on the opposite direction, then wait, one of the RCP90 guards will come out and throw a grenade at you, kill him before he does, after that, you should be fine killing the guards inside the radio room area. Be careful though, there are two more RCP90 guards in there, try to kill them before they throw a grenade.
You have to be careful because the ar33 pierces through things and can hit the drums or radios behind the guards whereas the pistol doesn't
It's not too bad if you take the time to lure out guards.
Also you don't even need to go inside that room with the outlet pump controls, because you can destroy all computers from the door entrance and the secret cave, and the Keycard guard will run up to you if you anger him.
Watching you play GoldenEye is like watching a tool assisted speedrun. Just incredible.

It makes less noise, from what I've experienced. Less enemies gang up on you that way.

It is kind of amazing just how well this game actually still holds up. Graphics in games has improved an insane amount, but it is hard to not admire just how solid the level design, music, atmosphere, and gameplay in GoldenEye was. The new GoldenEye game on the Wii was really good too, but the level design feels really linear in comparison. I feel like the level Frigate is a good example as to why GoldenEye is such a great game. Your mission tells you that there are bombs and hostages on a boat, but it leaves you free to approach how you attempt to deal with that where many other games would show you exactly where the bombs and hostages were. There is no hand holding in GoldenEye, it is like "these are your objectives that you need to complete," explore the level and figure out how to do it.
Aw man there is nothing sexier than dual AR-33s and RCP-90s! Loved this level for that.

RCP90 was my gun. Loved it but it was so overpowered it didn't pop up in a lot of levels (only Jungle and this, I think?)
This map, with those strange doors, makes me think this is sorta what a Metroid 64 game might have looked like. Especially give what we got later on with Metroid Prime.

DANG!!!!!!!!! All these years and countless hours playing Goldeneye, and I NEVER knew you could flush out the room with the radio at the end by shooting through the windows on the side near the entrance.........Crazy how much hassle that could have saved playing this level.

When I was 10 years of age Caverns was my favorite singleplayer map and Complex was my favorite multiplayer map.
I really like those chimes and electrical sounds in the soundtrack. It's cool how the game creators borrowed those from the movie. Makes you really feel like you're playing through the movie
You can headshot the 3 mooks at 3:46 with 1 bullet if you use the AR33
When you shoot one of the guards with the blue hat in the face: "Who threw that piece of paper at me?"

You're way too conservative here. When I get that assault rifle, I enter every room guns blazing. Also explains why I run out of ammo so quickly.
Nothing wrong either way, the guns are in the level for you to use as you see fit. I always saw the PP7 as a sidearm to be used if i ran out of ammo with everything else .
Have 9 papers to write in the next few weeks, but I'd rather be playing Goldeneye

I will have bought two actual P90s before I pull this off.
On this mission, start with ZMG(9mm). However, many players killed too much scientist and destroyed the communication radio accidentally.
Besides, there are two scientists near the pump control. If you destroyed the pump control when scientists close to control, they will be involved the explosion of pump control and dies.
Gotta love the sound of those body shots with the PP7 pistol...lol

I always found Caverns to be possibly the hardest 00 agent level,gave me one of the tougher times trying to get all cheats.
And yet this guy made it look so easy
You guys realize this was done on a mouse / PC right? It's a good video and all but no one is going to pull those moves on an N64 controller and rough graphics.
A real big shame really. That means i'll be stuck on aztec for quite some good time. Maybe years because i play it on the n64.

I used your run as inspiration to achieve this target, mostly with the PP7 but did switch guns on occasion and throw a few mines. Great run, love to see such skill. After many tries I managed it in 8:58

So fucking hard on 00. This, Jungle, Control, and Aztec are so immensely difficult. I'm playing through the game again and am on the 2nd Surface. Having so much fun but I know the fund stops around the Depot level lol

Caesar Seriona I made it to the train level earlier today and I'm stuck. I can't tell if I'm missing a few guards or they keep cloning themselves. But I've had a lot of fun lol.

I was loved when you picked up the M16 in this game after trading it for your AK47 which looked oddly like a reverse colored pencil. Then there's what I could imagine was supposed to be the P90 that looked like a stapler. The best part about this games where killing the scientists(white coats) in my opinion. The World is Not Enough was way better game graphically.

Used to, I no longer like it since years. The multiplayer games I play now are GoldenEye: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive most of the time.

I've been using these videos to help get through the N64 version (physical console) and you make it look like cake using a mouse and keyboard. This Starship Enterprise shaped controller is not as smooth lol.

The odd thing about this level was there wasn’t any reinforcements from Wade, it was just infinite guards trying to shoot you.

When the scientists are defeated by a door...
So I was just messing around on this level and I decided to strafe the spiral facing the wall.. usually look down to reduce a little bit of leg especially on this stretch but when you look down you're looking at loaded objectives like where you just ran from and the water... but if you look at the wall you have nothing to load but the wall did seem a lot faster but maybe I'm just baked...
Guards logic: someones firing at us lets open the door and stand right in the doorway and be sitting ducks

Kinda need to mention to all the fellows wondering why Graslu uses mostly the PP7 is because its noise level is actually pretty low compared to all the others, thus not aggroing as many guards. That and headshots are just that good lol

Can someone explain to me how the hell do I get through the door at 6:50?? It keeps telling me it's locked and I've done this level 10 times over and over amd I cant even get through that door, I feel like giving up!
You need to get the keycards from the guards and complete the rest of the objectives before going there.
Restarted the level and found card c to open the last door. Guess you have to get lucky to pickup it up from the guards

Ok, I play this game on an N64 on the same tv I watched this video on (Firestick) and it looks so different. The lighting, you can actually see shit!
