- I wanted to give Liquimoly oil a try this go around and also see about this Wix XP oil filter vs the STP I had .. some of you were saying I should have chosen a different filter when I did my first video so I took that into consideration and this is where we are at :) I was going to try Amsoil out but I feel the Liquimoly is going to be more inline with what I want out of an oil especially due to it containing ceratec already and me wanting to give that a go for a long while!

Wix is good. But don’t listen to any fool who says you need Ferrari oil. GM dexos rated synthetic is By Far the best. Several brands have this rating. That engine is as low tech as can be (it works though great engine). It absolutely doesn’t need liquid moly or similar. Dexos rated is far better and cheaper. Don’t let me see this madness again jerky!

It would be kinda cool if you'd also record a video and share your impression on LM oil, but at the same time, your car is practically brand new, so I really doubt you'll notice any changes beyond placebo (bc I really doubt there will be any changes switching to a different oil on a new car).
As far as oil filters, YT channel Brand Ranks made videos testing oil filters from different brands, and Purolator Boss showed the best results. That's what I'm switching to on my next oil change!
Agree on the “feeling” thing the placebo is real though I’m just happy to have fresh oil so that’s the main concern lol next go around in for sure trying the Purolator but likely staying with this oil just because I’ve had a LOT of friends have nothing but good experiences with it and the bottle alone with the spout has me happy enough to buy again LOL
I have been trying to figure out the best oil and I thought penn oil was good at least form the test I have seen and now I’m searching again watching this 😂 where did you pick up this oil and how do you like it so far? Any noticeable changes?
I grabbed this on Amazon but I believe some local places do stock it (just not at the time I ordered) and I can't really tell if it's much better but I do feel like the engine noise at idle and under load is a little different for the better but that could just be a placebo and me trying to justify a change LOL
