You arent 28 rafa. You are 38 years old. Its normal and natural to not have your body not support you. By the way you have maximized your career by playing 67 (17 years of grand slams and retired in only 6 slam matches out of them).

Yeah, these guys definitely ask so much of their bodies. I just feel like recreational players and fans have no idea the toll of so many heavy matches takes. But I’m still optimistic for him!

I feel like rafa is feeling good it looks like he tested the serve at full speed today dont know if he will be going all out but it sounds like if he is feeling confident. Rafa is a player when playing well he usually demolishe oppornents in this surface no matter who is on the other side of the net but lets see if he could cut down on the unforce errors he could be dangerous .

Given what Rafa says in this video, maybe if he can get healthy and stay healthy enough this year to, say, win Roland Garros and challenge for Wimbledon and/or the US Open, Rafa will reconsider retirement and keep playing tennis. I hope so.

At this point, the question is whether he just can withstand the physical stress of playing 5 sets matches in Roland Garros. This is far from certain.
