    I do really like the ergonomics of the ChargePointe DC fast chargers and how well all their chargers work with the Apple Wallet. I've never had a problem starting a WORKING charger using that method.

    That Duke Power Pierce and Co was apparently put in more or less with incentives when the new owner of Pierce and Co discovered he could get a nice magnet/incentive for EV drivers to stop. I know when we stopped there over the summer the four of us in the car spent probably $50 altogether. The store has been there like a 100 years and the new owner came down from the NYC area.

    I agree about the seat back, unfortunately power seat back is part of the Plus pack.

    Your long road trips are super useful to gauge how the EV interior molds to your characteristics, such as the seat backs, cup holders, and piano black glossiness! The one exterior feature that I don't like are the large gaps in the front grille. They don't appear to serve any purpose and I'd be interested to see how much buildup of debris and insects there is (or not) after 1,000 miles (and more).

      I just did another trip yesterday that was more of a solo cannonball style trip and I share a lot more vehicle feedback :) that video will like be out later this week

    Is the Polestar EV "very thirsty"? Does not seem to have much highway range.
    I'm still waiting on a Cybertruck or a Lighting.

    • @brandenflasch
      @brandenflasch  2 года назад

      It’s fairly thirsty at speed, but not terrible.

    How does the navigation compare to Tesla’s? I find Tesla hard to beat in how it shows charging spots and estimates charge arrivals.

    Awesome video. I'm following very close because I have a 2023 Performance on order. I have been alarmed by the abnormal TCAM and related software problems in the German Polestar and North American FB groups so I'm currently on the fence. I do love this car but it seems like Volvo has not resolved these issues in the P2 or XC40 recharge models. However my associate has 2021 XC40 recharge which is the same drivetrain and his car has been fine though. You are starting fresh with a 2022 so Im very curious to see how it plays out.

      @@brandenflasch yellow light on dash. if the 12v goes dead, the car is dead. to get the battery you have to remove the plastic covering under the hood. car was bricked when i got home. do not check app if leaving car sit. leave interior light on? yup, drains. It's an annoyance but once bitten twice shy. it's a known issue in the ev6. it's not why i got rid of it--i got rid of it for the reasons I mentioned, plus these cars are not eligible for ev rebate after 2022. so when the 2 yr old used ev's get another $7,500 these won't and the value will dry up. they are very large cars and my range was still low and i'd rather just get a PHEV and stop the b/s charging game.

    • @skyemalcolm
      @skyemalcolm 2 года назад

      @@scottiswatchingtelejust curious if you’d had a nice charging situation in your driveway or garage during the time you’d had the EV6? I ask for two reasons. First, it makes having an EV so much better. Basically with charging at you house they are amazing and without that they are a pain. And the second reason I ask is that if your EV6 was on the AC charger at home then I think you’d have had a better experience. That said I must admit that my EV6 had some issues with that same 12v low battery thing but I abused the 12v battery with using it to charge my hobby RC plane batteries and so I’d often put the EV6 on a battery tender trickle charger while I’d park in the garage there for a while last summer. I think they sent out a recall or update and after that I have not seen those issues. I have 20k miles on the car and have road tripped and commuted it a lot obviously.
