A moment in time that will never be repeated. Sublime.
um... just like every single other moment you mean?
Ethereal. The music of angels and fairies.
Pure class! Real Musicians playing real music....
Jesus, that voice. A real songbird.
What a beauty of a voice. I bet the girls from Stereolab were influenced.
Pentangle. Great Band.
amazing. this was recorded at the same day but exactly 17 years before I was born. And yet I am a huge fan. Met pentangle on soulseek, while looking for folk songs when I was about 16 and obsesed with all things celtic (then folk derived from there). First song I listened to was scarborough fair. Now 20 years later it is still favorite band and my safe space, I can say anything in pentangle songs. I saw when the first videos were upload to youtube, at that time even lyrics were hard to come by. Now I am delighted by every live.
I love Celtic music, started listening to Scottish Moors, then onward, discovered all these greats❤
Everything about this song is exemplary...one of my fave tunes from this underrated outfit!
Seeing Jacqui McShee’s Pentangle on Tuesday - absolutely cannot wait!!!!!!!!! Have loved them for as long as I could appreciate music ❤
Pentangle were a unique band. A 'superstar' band that actually worked - no massive egos from any member to tear it all apart. PS John Renbourn took to the electric guitar very convincingly unlike some of the acoustic folkies of the period. The way he approached electric guitar reminds me very much of Lee Underwood's playing for Tim Buckley.
Loved this band back in the day and still do today.
Memories of my youth came flooding back! I remember buying this exquisite album and cherishing it.
Vintage Pentangle in HD!
Their best number, for me. I wish they’d done more in the same vein.
Jaqui’s exquiste voice!!
Reflexion....
This is such a good song.
magic!
音も佇まいもファッションも総てが格好良い。
Blown away by this band!
Outstanding musicians and THAT perfect voice. My god, it doesn’t get, couldn’t get, any better than that. They captured lightning in a bottle. ✌🏻💜☀️
I don't know which is the best, the guitars, that voice! or that bass! Actually, all of it.
Theme tune to Take Three Girls
Beautiful girl and beautiful music!
Perfection. And live too. Beat that.
Jethro Tull were also perfect live. Not so anymore.
Legendary band 🔥 🔥 🔥 Brings back many memories of yesteryear ✌🏼 ❤️ 🎶
People don't make music like this anymore.
Sad, but true.

*_My grandpa makes sure that I'm fully educated on the the 60's and 70s utterly great_*
*_music and the absolutely brilliant, unique, gifted bands and artists that there were then - There are none that can compare to them from that era ...._*
Había dos hermanas muy buenas no recuerdo su nombre maccarry o algo así a este folk le decíamos de mesa camilla
they actually do - it's just not thrust in your face. Some really beautiful folk, rock, jazz, psych sounds around at the moment, you just need to keep your sensors open !
People say to me, "Oh you like Pentangle, you must like [ insert random folk artist]. "
Me: Er, no.
They’re a genre in themselves sometimes

Nothing like this today!
Take three girls loved the program beautiful
Beatiful ❤
Wonderful just wonderful
What a great live clip. Lovely tune in an unusual time signature.
Accidentally had playback speed at 1.5. was thinking wow nice jam! Class group.
At 2x speed, WOW!
How did this music not cross the pond back in the day? They are every bit the equal of any musical act of this genre coming out of the US or Canada, and that includes the top acts like Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, or James Taylor.
Better late than never, I guess.
Pentangle's music *did* cross the pond, from the UK to the US, back in the day. However, in the US, their music reached, and was appreciated, only by niche or esoteric circles.
I remember this so well! 😊
I saw them live in the 1980s, and Bert a few years later. Wonderful, wonderful band.
🌹🎼♥️
So bad ass
truly magical ♥
Loving these new remastered uploads, the quality is amazing, thank you so much.
Pa da pa di da da
Beutiful
Top tune !!
Glorious
Magnificent Pentangle!!💜
♥
🔥🔥🔥
Awesome. :-)
I saw Pentangle around that time at the Albert Hall - I was about 17. It seems like another universe, now! What amuses me about this video is the terribly serious expressions of the audience - they all look as though they were attending a funeral lol.
I was there also a great concert as I remember 😊
They were serious...about the music. Nowt wrong with that, known as appreciation of something amazing. Was just like that then.
yes.
I miss you Mia
Danny Thompson is so propulsive on Bass!
Loved it!
👌
Back when music required some investment, intelligence to write, sing, play and appreciate.
I hear what you're saying and if applied to modern pop music, you would be mostly correct. However, there are many indie and underground artists who possess those qualities. They just don't get any air time because the music industry is not about music- it's about making money.
@@davids4003 Agree with you sir. There are always talented kids out there.
My philosophy was learn all you can and get out there. Get good.
Not sure how kids do it these days.
All on line?
It is still out there, same as it was then. Also the same, as in it's not aimed at the masses. Proper music, rather than the musical equivalent of McDonald', as in bland, boring and directed at people who don't care about what they're listening to. This is brilliant.
@pinball1979 please listen to the band king gizzard & the lizard wizard and write me what you think
I've often wondered what my infants school teachers got up to in their spare time.
😂
This is "Beatnik". Now you know.
:-)
Captured for posterity. The very best of the best. Thank you.
Was this a theme to a tv series?
Yes, Take Three Girls.
There are a few episodes on the net , take three girls,, would love the full set if anyone has them ,thank you
alchemy
Not my era but 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Was the the Two Brewers, Clapham, S London?
Sounds extremely difficult to sing and Jacquie absolutely nails it
Sqauts, social security, cheap housing, pubs n clubs = creativity.
A group that was less than the sum of its parts?
Better than Zeppelin. Last one.
What's with being in the audience & being too cool for school?
they need to lose that drummer
Terry Cox is a great drummer.
Kidding right???
Other worldly. Wicker Man, Hammer House. England before she died. I miss her so.
