You know that you've listened to A Saucerful of Secrets a lot when you expect the intro to Corporal Clegg right when this is done playing.
Yeah, Corporal Clegg definitely rakes you out of your stupor.
This album was so well composed, starts with a jumpy awesome vibe then settles and turns into an experience.
Copy that!
I'm thinking Saucerful of Secrets from Ummagumma was next. I have both ALBUMS!!!!!
Honors to Cpl. Clegg. He lost a leg serving his country...
oh i thought it was normal
Although I know exactly what you mean I always made my own track selections on those old tapes!😁
one of the best Pink Floyd songs ever
How about “Let there be more light” or Careful with that ax, Eugene”? ;) i love this song too
Hmm.... depends what drugs you've been taking, I suppose😂😂
I concur, I drown reality out and find my inner peace
@@danielmansfield3296 i feel that. The song is very mellow and soothing to my soul without taking psychadelics
@@rojasm721 I was mesmerized when I first heard it. The song is itself psychedelic to me.
pink floyd gave everyone in the 60s a creative reason for hallucination. this is a space classic.
Another great early song by Pink Floyd that is rarely heard today.
Little by little the night turns around
Counting the leaves which tremble at dawn
Lotuses lean on each other in yearning
Under the eaves the swallow is resting
Set the controls for the heart of the sun
Over the mountain watching the watcher
Breaking the darkness waking the grapevine
One inch of love is one inch of shadow
Love is the shadow that ripens the wine
Set the controls for the heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
The heart of the sun
Witness the man who raves at the wall
Making the shape of his question to heaven
Whether the sun will fall in the evening
Will he remember the lesson of giving?

So calm and dreamy. Love the enhanced sounds. Now I'm in another dimension. Bliss....
True psychedelic rock
The only Pink Floyd song that features all five members of Pink Floyd! (Bob Klose does not count, as he only recorded a couple of covers with the band in 65 that were never released for decades.)
Bruh, you doing Bob dirty like that is sad
Only one cover song, rest were written by Syd or Roger
No wonder its my favorite
@@lucifersam4521
Roger.
It's ironic this is the only track with all the members, given the reason there wasn't more is Syd flew too close to the sun. Shine on Syd!!!!
Stuff like this from Floyd probably stopped me from taking drugs. I didn't need them.
hauntingly beautiful
This whole album is an experience 🙌
Can't frickin believe some people say that TPTTGOD is better than this masterpiece of an album.
1. ANIMALS 2.WISH YOU WERE HERE 3. A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS
If this one is the only one of their songs where they are in , from this moment it becomes my favourite Floyd' s song 😊
Together "Shine on"
Possibly the best song in the pre-DSotM era. Gotta love the ambience of it.
the only pink floyd song with both Barret and Gilmore
Nick mason calls this Rogers first masterpiece.
Personally we I don’t think it was ever bettered
The first two albums by Pink Floyd were amazing Syd Rick David Roger and Nick David arriving added new style too
Love is the shadow that ripens the wine... ☮
Nothing is better than Pink Floyd....✌💚🤍❤
Without life there’d be no Floyd. So.
@@qinghai1 well....none are better than Pink Floyd

Yeah except Pink Floyd
Radio kaos, R waters👍
Early Floyd is my favorite Floyd. 💖💖💖
Come tutti i brani anche questo è strepitoso.lo ascoltato dal vivo nel 1971 a Rotterdam, emozioni infinite solo i Pink ti possono trasportare a certi livelli dì emozioni e senzazioni. Unici inarrivabili x tutti.Dainese Aldo.

One of my favorite PF songs ever. Happy Floyd Friday!
Hadn't actually listened to this in ages. Still very cool. 😎👍
Such great lyrics ... Love is the shadow that ripens the wine...
I read this the moment he sang the lyrics.
I have always loved this album
I find this song perfect. Over the years, listen after listen it becomes more and more incredible and revealing.
Already hear 4 time🖤🖤🖤🖤

* the time your friends are around you repeating
The heart of the sun over and over
Quando descobri o Pink Floyd, me apaixonei. Virou amor eterno.
🙋🙋♀️
This song is so ahead of its time
You mean "was"
It's from 1968.
@@cliork OP wrote it correctly, the song IS ahead of the time it WAS published
Fantastic music by the greatest !

Pink Floyd i Love uuuu the best band in the World & the best music i listened in my life 💣🔥🎧🎶❤️👋🇩🇿🇩🇿
I am 63 this year. I was weaned on The Floyd, grew up on The Floyd, obviously still enjoying The Floyd and wish to someday eventually be buried with my entire Floyd vinyl collection. My favorite band from the beginning until now and forever.
Just leave and share Von when you go away
One of their best songs. so beautiful!
Great song from one of my all-time favorite albums. ✌️
I am proud to have this song on Vinyl👍👍😘😘
Me too
Thats like an enchantment ritual 🌟🙏🏼☄️🖖☀️
They've set their controls right for my heart
Ahhh.
My god this song takes me wayyyy back when life was so much simpler❤
Without question, my favorite Floyd track.
LOVE early Floyd!!!!
Eclipse 2024!
Great minds think alike!
We have WON!!
Isso é Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd forever 🎸🎵
I'll definitely come to see💖
I'm sure Jim Morrison loves this song.
I just came off a Doors binge to see this comment lol. He definitely inspired me to visit early Floyd!
Ha! I came here to listen to this song because I just read a Jambase article about an old AJAX jingle (stronger than dirt).
Listening to the AJAX jingle reminded me of the beat to this song so I came here to compare the 2, but at the end of the article was a clip from the doors Touch Me where at the very end Jim Morrison sings "STRONGER THAN DIRT!"
So yeah, I think he'd dig this song.
Are you saying Morrison plagiarized it? If not, he probably didn't like it too much 😏
was during an interview that morrison praised pink floyd work?
FUCK YEAH!
With the way the world is today setting your control's for the heart of the sun seems very tempting
PINK FLOYD, o titã do Rock! BRASIL SEMPRE COM PINK FLOYD!
Com certeza🙏🏻
Pink Floyd still try to it’s roots. Love the whole feel of this song
This Song is ballad so precious by the cute bassist player Roger Waters
U r wrong dickhead
Cute 🤡
Roger isn’t cute
He’s sexy
I’ve always thought that Roger was led astray by his inherent cuteness:-)
@@ronaldchives2486 😂
This was the first song in my first ever mushroom trip playlist. High school buddies and I drove from Tulsa, OK to the Little Sahara sand dunes and made camp. We watched the sun go down and then the night sky came to life with stars and a full moon. I remember we all thought we were walking on the back of a giant snake because the moonlight illuminated the patterns of tire tracks from the offroad vehicles. We were giants that night and we laughed and cried in equal measure.
What year did you and your friends experience this? Sounds like a wild time!!!
@@miasmommy75 2006 and yes, it was a beautiful night. God watched over us. What people claim about their "trips" syncing up is absolutely true. We saw and felt the same things and our thoughts fixated on particular themes. None of us were particularly religious but we prayed together and it felt right.
This is a Fantastic Song 😊....the Vibes are amazing.....Star Trek 1966.....a Hit for all time... From the 1960s to 1000060s...every Star Date 😊
Amazing and powerfull darker mantra.
Roger Waters plus ultra in mystic dimension.
Masterpiece!
💫what a number💫
Very cool atmosphere and vibe, you can vibe to it, but Pink Floyd fans are crazy to call this masterpiece, get to your senses.
DA BRIVIDI. MITICO BRANO DEGLI ETERNI PINK FLOYD

Magnificenttt psychedelic fussion thats a trip without return , so ethereal masterpiece
Stupenda canzone grandi Pink Floyd
This should be played as the Parker Solar Probe journeys ever closer to the sun!

One of my favorites, 1 of many Most favorite band in my lifetime Thank God for them All 5
My definitive favorite song from those genius!
All the 5 men in the same Song
I first herd this song in 2002 on a 2 cd 💿 set i bought adter i got out of jail 😂
Muito top excelente 👏
Masterpiece
I'd love to hear a remix of this where Syds part is isolated (if possible). I love this version, but with all the instruments intertwining it's hard to differentiate who plays what. I imagine Syd is just on guitar somewhere....?
Good for a relaxation smoke.
É o maior do mundo ❤️🇧🇷
CANT WAIT!
Phenomenal!
Syd Barret we are listening this because of you
Lyrics taken from a translation of T'ang Dynasty poetry.
It's been at least 40 years since I've listened to this song. I wonder why I stopped... Because it was mistake...
trippy and ahead of its time
Best ASMR therapy 🥰🥰
Meravigliosa
Incredibile! Ricordo lo spettacolo a Pompei! Indimenticabile!
This song has also been covered by the prog metal supergroup, OSI, 42 years later for the special edition of their self-titled debut album
Pink Floyd por siempre 🎶❤️
There's an early version of this a live version with Barrett on it and it's been suggested Barrett contributed quite a lot to this track. Makes me wonder if he deserved a co-wright credit but oh well...
aged like the finest of wines
A great sci-fi scenario about a spaceship crew lost in space and running out of oxygen so they decide to go out with a big bang.
Pure Acid Rock.
Epic in the definition of the word
Increíble! 😵💫
Coooool
If one song captured the essence of the psychedelic experience surrounded by people you love, it’s this.
Watching all boundaries melt away. Witnessing a glimpse of the Divine in those people.
If only syd really knew that his musical talent and his presence down here was cherished
But Syd Barrett read the ancient Chinese book of wisdom "I-Ching"... This says a lot about his high intellectual development...
Super 💖👍🔥!!!!!!!
An absolute classic
Los mejores de la historia 🎶❤️
Why don't everyone appreciate nick mason enough. The drum is just topnotch here.
I always thought that it would be much better if pillow of dreams and echoes were in this album. The vibe matches beautifully..
Ahhhh PF’ masterful Phrygian mode ❤
Happily mind-boggling! 😁
No words.
