Once hidden coral reef in South Beach inspires push for marine park

Just 600 feet off South Beach, a hidden coral reef teeming with tropical fish, nurse sharks, sea turtles, and eagle rays has sparked a community effort to protect it.

The art car installation is not the organization advocating for protection of the "natural" reef. Urban Paradise Guild the org fighting relentlessly to protect this natural asset has been a conservation group for the last 15 years. They only work with nature based solutions in the community. The natural reef is right next to the artificial reef being installed. Due to the high traffic the art car installation will bring to the area, highlights the extreme urgency to protect the natural reef.
