I watched a TVOTR concert on here last weekend (as part of a live music wormhole) and it hit all my feels. so glad to share :) thanks for your words. somebody (maybe you?) said exactly that to first make me understand why people liked unboxings: it’s like bringing it home, getting it in your room, opening it for the first time. That clicked so hard for me :)
Very true, phones were great back then. Much more diversity without LTEs and 16 core ARM SoCs. However I bet they could last a week off the one charge.

I’m more than happy to share more ideas if you’re ever in a rut. “Mr. Mobile” has been doing some pretty epic throwback reviews and comparisons and there’s a huge tech enthusiast community of people like me who still search stuff like “Samsung Instinct vs LG Voyager” (😅) and re-watch a slew of WebOS Palm Pre videos. As someone with an MBA, I’m always fascinated by which carriers got which carrier exclusive phones back in the day and how some manufacturers (Motorola and nokia) put more of an emphasis on design and higher end materials while other manufacturers (LG and Samsung) chose affordability and core functionality.

So, I'm not a graphic designer & so don't know what your needs are there. I got this over the MBAir bc I do some light video editing and audio/music production. But most of what I do is basic web/email/office docs. My needs didn't seem heavy duty enough to warrant jumping to the 1799 tier. If you work a lot with apps that use multiple cores, it's probably worth it. Personally, I always err on the side of saving cash.
i honestly have no idea, lol. i've been working from home forever and am rarely far from an AC outlet. maybe i shoulda looked into this before i chose which model to buy?
Hi! It's a shame there's no more funny devices you unboxed in 2000s while being part of PhoneDog. Honestly all this minimalism and thinness are kind of downgrade, you'd have to buy tons of accessories to get the ports back.
Hi! I know, I got bored of devices after they all turned into the same slab of touchable glass. To be fair, touchscreens manipulated by software deliver way more flexibility for the dollar than physical buttons can. But to your point about laptops, I'd rather this new machine was a touch bigger if it meant more ports. Also, BRING BACK MAGSAFE :(
