I’m not a surveyor but this is something that would be useful for environmental technicians when we’re plotting sample grids in the field! I may look into just buying one to make my life easier since they’re affordable enough and the accuracy is more than adequate!

@@trollenz agreed. That would be interesting to see. By the way, I’m currently using another relatively inexpensive GPS receiver (Polaris S100) along with Microsurvey Field Genius running on a cheap android tablet. So far the results have been very comparable to a Trimble R2 system w/ TSC-3 controller that cost more than ten times as much. Moreover, the Field Genius software is much easier to use, in my opinion, than the Trimble stuff, at least for what we’re doing.

@@dbackscott sorry, haven't seen your message... Well actually a pretty good tip I'm gonna look into that. I'm using Novatel receiver boards (OEM628) that I got cheap on eBay... Works very good, but it's a bit of a hassle, using WinCE makes me nauseous every time. Doesn't work well with fieldgenius... Are you talking about Android version that works with the S100 ? Thanks.

Instead of using a radio to transmit the differential signal, how about using 2 lora nodes that operate in the licence free ism band.

It would be nice to know if this device could be configured to do non-RTK surveys via collecting raw data. It would be sweet if a button could be configured to start a raw collect and then pressed again to stop the collect. Each collect being stored to an sd card in ubx format for post processing. Quite often RTK is just not worth the hassle or possible.

We're building up another batch right now, but I believe that it's supply chain issues that are severely limiting the number of units we're able to build. Then the stock covers backorders before being released for general sale. Hopefully supply chain issues will start to minimize in the coming months, but the best chance for getting one right now would probably be to backorder it.
